The movie plays like a fairly average Ashley Judd detective thriller except all the female characters have been beaten or r*ped at some point. It’s decent, but in no way deserving of the enormous hype. The mystery in it is no better than average.

Also the lead actress in the movie looks way to old to play the “Girl” so that put me off a bit too. I’m usually all for the original vs. the Hollywood remake but this version seems like it has a better team (& budget) behind it.
The trailer obviously wasn’t ready for prime-time yet as it seems to be taken down from most websites already!

It looks pretty intense. Looks like they’ve really upped their game for for a full on mystery/action/thriller. Trailer is definitely a contender for the “Best trailers list”. Love the tag line “Feel-bad movie of Christmas”.

Suddenly this film has become one of my most anticipated movies for 2011!
