Man, that picture of Devastator on here is AWESOME! HE should have been in the movie, not that fake they decided to slap the Devastator label on. What a waste, they kill him with one shot from a rail gun. Do you want to know a secret about the rail gun… it sounds cool and all on paper, but it doesn’t work. Even if it was a mile long using super-conducting material it won’t get the velocity of a lead shot propelled using gunpowder. Cruise missiles… nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, would’ve worked, too. I don’t know if the 15-inch (is there 20-inch?) guns on battleship can reach that far in land (I don’t know where the pyramids are located in relation to the sea or the range of the guns) and you would have problems with accuracy.

Why did they call it Revenge of the Fallen? All the other Primes supposedly sacrificed themselves to hide the Matrix of Leadership from him. Like they couldn’t protect it from him or something? They skewer the Fallen for trying to take the Matrix the first time, but for some reason he doesn’t die or they let him live… or he dies and his followers the Decepticons revive him, but that part they don’t show that in the movie. And then… they kill themselves to hide it from him… GOD, the story gets even worse the more I think about it. The Fallen doesn’t take Revenge out on anybody. The whole movie is about him trying to get the Matrix, so he can activate the sun-harvester to power the All-spark, which he doesn’t even have, but he still activates the harvester anyway.

Oh, I get it… he’s taking his revenge out on the humans. He blames the human race for his brothers turning on him. If the humans didn’t exist, his brothers, the Primes, won’t have turned on him for trying to activate the harvester in a star system with a life bearing planet like he agreed to. Why do I have to fill the holes? I think the writers are much more to blame then Michael Bay’s directing.

OH OH, I got an idea… activating the harvester will bring the All-Spark back to him no matter where it is… or he will be able to claim it once Sam dies (might have to rule that out, since he had an opportunity to that when he grabbed the Matrix. He didn’t bother trying to kill Sam, or Optimus Prime when is still weak.) Yes, it does appear I am filling the holes in the movie. Once the Sun is gone the Earth with die and Sam with it, so one way or another he will get the All-Spark back. They do mention that the All-Spark can not be destroyed. The cube containing the All-Spark was only a vessel and now the All-Spark resides in Sam. At least the knowledge portion, he doesn’t exhibit any powers to bring machines or fallen Transformers back to life… as yet. Oh, I suppose he will have to have a hand in bringing the Dinobots back to life in the next movie or something. They don’t mention this in the movie either and I’m just exploring some possibilities.

Transformer is about the robots, please no more Sam saves the Earth, otherwise just change the title to Sam and the robots from Outer Space, so I don’t think it’s about Transformers.

Unless you’re watching the movie for the special effects, don’t bother watching it for a story. The effects are phenomenal and the explosions are excessive. Things blowup even when no one has fired a shot. Roads will just blow up for no reason other than it’s in the shot… camera shot. Yeah, you can blow things up with a camera… but I don’t think they meant that way, LOL!

Another problem with the second movie was they made Prime weaker than Megatron in the first movie… just so they could have Sam save them all. That was so lame, it should’ve had Prime arriving in the nick of time to save Sam and the cube and the Earth… it’s so frustrating when they can’t even be consistent within their own lore.

So they bring Prime’s power-level up to where it would be in the cartoon series and he takes on the top two Decepticons, Megatron, Starscream and Blackout all by himself. The Fallen doesn’t count since he’s just a one time foe. Although, I suppose they could always bring him back… as Galvatron or something… these people don’t hold to the cartoon series. I mean they don’t even hold to their own lore.

Were there any other problems with the movie… oh yeah, why are the soldiers on the front lines… they’re useless. I mean really it doesn’t make any sense to have them that close in combat. This is a fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Humans are more in the way than help. Gunships fly in easy arms reach… you could have the Decepticon run up to it and swat it out of the sky if swatting is what you want, you don’t need to have them fly 20 feet from the ground in arms reach. All the Decepticons are killed by Autobots, not by humans… except Devastator… what a waste of a good villain.

And what is it with all the humping… dog humping dog, Wheelie humping Mikaela’s leg… once was too many and they did it twice. What do you call that… trying to be funny without being clever… crass humor… I call it lame.

Optimus’ narration at the beginning of the film… Optimus is the epitome of all that is good and noble, but he is fighting a war against the Decepticons and Decepticons are also from Cybertron. To make the comments he does about the human race seems a little hypocritical.

And the narration for NEST sounds more like a recruiting advertisement.

The scene with the astronomy professor… what the hell was that all about? It was more like Horrible Acting 101.

The opening with the guys wearing white paint… it looks like they found it on the cutting floor of a B-movie. It was so awful, seriously they should take it out. It doesn’t tell you anything relevant you won’t find out during the course of the film.

Sideswipe kills a Decepticon with his blade… with flourish… nothing wrong with that I suppose… then he saids, “D@mn, I’m good!” Which ruined the effect. He comes off sounding pretty arrogant… after killing someone from his own planet. Which just goes to show even Autobots are not that much different from humans.

And the scene when Megatron goes to see the Fallen… My master… yes, my disciple… the exchange will take you back to Star Wars, Darth Vadar and the Emperor . It’s so bad… I have to laugh… unfortunately it’s not suppose to be funny… LOL!

I suppose you could argue the story calls for some of
it… well, not really… story… there’s a story…?

Is there anything good in it… the scene with the airplane (C-17 Globemaster, I think it is) carrying Prime over the skyline in Shanghai… It looks like a shot you could use for Ghost in the Shell… I thought it was beautiful.

Prime jumping out of the airplane, it totally kick ass…

Bee kicking ass… Bee learns Kung Fu while living in Sam’s garage… no, they don’t show that, but you might believe it when you see him fight.

Optimus getting Jetfire’s parts and takes the fight to the Fallen and Megatron.

All the robot fight scenes are well-done or great.

The rest of the stuff should be good if not tolerable.

i love the movie eventhough it was different from the cartoon but hey, don’t bagged it out …. yawnable?? fan…yeah right dude!!! dragonball was bad and im a fan of that too, shame, shame!!!!

The cast, the visual effects, the camera angles, sound editing, editing, it was one heck of a blockbuster. And im sure this next movie would be as long as Michael Bay sticks to he’s dramatic camera style.

AUTOBOTS transform for action!!!!

Now, with the sequel, alot that had to be left out in the first movie will hopefully be explained in this one. The combining of transformers, female transformers, and a more detailed story of their history and relation to Earth. And of course, with Michael bay on it…. bigger and better action sequences.

Autobots…. ROLLOUT!!!!!

I did wish there was a slightly better casting. Megan Fox? Understandable. But Shia? Not so much in my book.
