First, & foremost i’m a huge horror fan and big Jason fan too. I wasn’t sure what to expect witht his film. However, I was blown away.I thought they did a great job with this movie. I mean to all the people that said the film was prediticable..well it should be..it’s a remake…we already know what happens before it occurs.But there weren’t certain scenes were I was telling my date..watch out for this b/c this occurred in part 2 and guess what it never happened! So the film makers kept you on your toes. I enjoyed the kills, I loved the ending, enjoyed how they tied in parts 2 & 3..and Clay is the dude from part 4 who is looking for his sis but meets up with the Jarvis’.

All in great remake!!!

also..someone above stated that Jason was to humanic…remember in parts 2 and 3 he doesn’t have that zombie..you can’t kill me strength he didn’t obtain that till part 6(The New Beginning)..Jason was still learning how to kill and shots over the head could render him unconscious. The bear trap is utilized to hunt your prey..if you live int he woods your going to use other methods to kill other then his famous machette.

First thing to admit, i have never seen a “Friday the 13th” movie in my life because 1.i am a “mid 90’s baby”. And I still know enough about him from when i saw the Freddy vs. Jason movie(eh I’ve seen better rival movies from Marvel Comics but i gotta admit, it was very good.)

The Nightmare On Elm Street movies i have seen and that Freddy mug cR@cks mI the fudge up! Hes a mystical mastermind with the fingernails and the fancy classy fedora and the pulling peoples brains out with the nail from their ears and the…forgetaboutit, obviously my favorite was “Freddy’s Dead” cause he got them kids in those video games and played with them completely…poor, poor kids….hehehe…back to jason..<3…

And 2. his image is known all over the world!! He is the reason people fear Friday the 13th! He’s the reason teenagers hate the number 13,cause guess what? Puberty, Pure Pressure,Drugs,Sex, Riots…Kids hate that!(right…=])But its Pop Culture! You cant go anywhere here in America without anyone not knowing who Jason is or being creeped out when they see a bashed up hockey mask! Like ok, I went to Phobia here in TX and they had a Jason Mock there! Dude, This guy had the Machete, The Mask, The f*ucked up t-shirt and they not so human skin and when he lifted up the mask…my god…His Face,Unlike this movie,was scary. Very. Very. Scary. So to prove my point…

This movie was ok. It made me want to see the original even more cause according to my father(Who saw the movie has a early young adult) said that some dude got so scared he crapped his pants. Honestly? That’s fantastic. Now I know where to find a good Horror Movie. This remake was more of a comic horror. Like Scary Movie 1-4, even though those are just funny movies. But thats what I can compare it too. A Funny Movie. I was laughing when someone got killed. Especially the idiot Asian dude from that SAT movie…what was his name in the movie again? hmmm…Chewie! That’s right Chewie! God his death was to funny…cause at first he was to drunk to realize holy crap hes gonna kill me! hahaha…yeah, and I liked how the African-American dude tried to fight him off cause i was sitting in my seat thinking in my head “Way to go! Rep our people! Kick Jason’s ass! Then I remembered, oh yeah. Everyone dies in Jason’s movies except JASON. Blah…just when you think he gets away, axe right through his back. Aww well, nice knowin ya. And then the Douche bag! I cant even remember his name cause I hated his punk butt attitude! Cheating on his girlfriend with Anna then acting like a bigger Douche and being so stupid to try to leave Clay and girlfriend and then scream like a bitch and take off when the body of whats her face lands on the car! I couldn’t stop laughing there, I actually started crying!!! Couldn’t stop but feel bad for the guy when he died…old man driving off probably gonna get out his car, have an heart attack, and die. HA. That would’ve been funny!

I never really figured out why Clays sister Whitney survived though, did Jason think that was his mom?! I dont know whats up but apparently that’s what they were going for. But I knew the douches girl wasn’t gonna make it. They were to predictable with her death…

But I loved the ending. It pissed me off a little how they just caught it off right then in there you know?
Like I said…This was a very good movie…It definitely should have been better though!!!!

(sorry for the spoilers…But hey…and btw…Im still a huge Freddy fan!

I think that the new version of Friday The 13th (2009) is a good movie… but there were a few things that kinda bothered me… the deaths were obvious and it wasen’t as bloody and exciting as the previous Friday The 13th. This one reminds me of Jason X. Except… now he runs. The ending was horrible, it’s an anding that only one by the name of M.Night Shamalon would do. hmmm… It could have been a little better. But then again, that’s my opinion.

Did anyone who left a bad review actually see this movie?
For the record most of us were young when the F13’s had been released and if not scary it was cool especially part 3 in 3D Did anyone expect an epic film? if so you deserve to be disappointed. It was a terrific movie, not as cool as Dawn of the Dead or the TCSM remake but definitely entertaining. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD and add it to my collection. If you haven’t seen it, go see it.

Long time F13 fan here… First I need to make something clear to all that can’t remember the original movies. Jason did not become the walking zombie until the SIXTH movie(Jason Lives). Re-watch parts 2, 3, and The Final Chapter. He most certainly was human, and did give chase quite a bit.

For the people complaining about the overuse of sex and nudity… Re-watch 2,3,4,5,7,JgtH, Jason X, and FvsJ.

Sub-par acting, limited gore, and horny teenagers that are dumb as bricks is what this series has always been about. This new reboot delivered on all fronts and more. Specifically with Jason himself. When Jason Goes to Hell tried to dive deeper into Jason, it failed. This movie pulls that off perfectly, IMO.

Jason is an insane Mama’s boy, who will punish those that enter his territory. Ed Gein killed for his mother, why can’t Jason?

The new Friday the 13th was incredible! I saw it with several friends and we all laughed until we cried. It had a good blend of everything you’d expect in this series; sex, blood, scares, nudity, drugs, a hell of a lot of humor, and some pretty friggin’ wicked kill scenes. There weren’t any big scares, but if you zone into the movie, you might jump a little. There were 2 things that really pulled this movie together; the humor that some characters brought in(watch the movie and you’ll see what i mean), and the fact that Jason isn’t just a mindless killer in this, he’s actually got some wit, and guile in this movie. He’s very sneaky and they make him out to be a hunter. He uses the environment to his advantage, not just mindless decapitations with a machete. He uses different methods to kill each victim, such as; axes to the gut, running(yes I said running!) stabs, fire, trees, etc. I know you are all probably thinking, “oh no, the machete is what made Jason cool!” but I guarantee this movie is amazing! It brought the series back to life, and it’s better than ever! Some of the characters are thrown into perfectly humorous situations, like one character Chewie, And a giant douchebag, who pisses you off most of the movie, but actually pulls the movie together. I highly recommend this movie. It has everything, and I guarantee by the end of the movie you”ll agree with me, Jason is back, and Kickin’ more ass than ever!!!!!
