There’s been a lot of Twilight 3 talk in the last few weeks, so what has been said and when can you expect it?
The official synopsis for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Twilight 3) goes like this: ‘Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) have been reunited, but their forbidden relationship is threatened to be torn apart again with an evil vampire still seeking her revenge. And Bella is forced to choose between her true love for Edward or her friendship with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) as the struggles between vampires and werewolves continues. But there is still another choice for Bella to make, mortality or immortality?’
How long will you have to wait for Twilight 3? Not long at all. In fact, they’ve already finished filming it – principle photography was completed on October 29th. The movie is scheduled to open Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Michelle Rosenberg wrote the script and the movie is directed by David Slade, who obviously got chosen because he’d directed a teen in Hard Candy and vampires in 30 Days of Night. It’s still an odd choice, he doesn’t strike me as the perfect director to get in touch with his feminine side.
The big controversy though surrounds Bryce Dallas Howard replacing Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria. Production company Summit claim the change was due to scheduling conflicts, but Lefevre responded that she was “stunned” and “greatly saddened” by the decision. I don’t believe Summit for one moment. They tried to get rid of Taylor Lautner after the first movie to bring in a bigger name for New Moon, and on that occasion were seemingly only stopped by the fan outcry.
So what do you want to see happen in Twilight 3? Should Rachelle Lefevre have stayed as Victoria or did they need a more experienced actress for the bigger role? Leave your comments below.

Summit should have kept Rachelle Lefevre. The fans are really gonna see the differece. The only reason she didn’t get the role for “Eclipse” is because she failed to inform Summit that she was going to be filming a Lifetime film “Do You Know Me” the same time as “Eclipse”. But really, why would she pick a tv film over a Twilight movie?
Basically, the third movie will be the plot that the New Moon trailer looks like … which means, in actuality, New Moon is nothing more than a moody 90 minute bridge to the third movie and contains about 30 minutes of plot.
Much like the first movie.
God help us all.
Actually Mr.X…Rachelle wasn’t doing a lifetime movie, she was actually in Rome filming with Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman. Not exactly passing up a Twilight film for a lifetime tv film now, is it?
je trouvais lefevre parfaite pour le role de victoria, a aucun moment, dans fascination ou dans newmoon,elle n’a pas tenue son role.mettre une autre actrice plus “experimenté” quelqu’elle soit ne me semble réellement justifié. je trouve que victoria etais parfaitement incarnée avec rachelle….
I’m happy with the choice of replacing Rachelle with Bryce Dallas Howard. She’s a great addition to the cast and her youthful appearance suits the character.
i dont really like victoria..
shes gonna die in the end anyway..

its not like they changed robert, kristen, jacob or any of the cullen family

I hate it! I thought Rachelle was perfect. She was exactly how i pictured Victoria. I hate when movie’s recast in sequels.
I think it is horrible when you have a series of movies and you change the characters. It makes the life of the movie feel a little less realistic. I hope they don’t decide to make any other changes, because just this slight change in charactor makes the feel of the series less I don’t know what the correct word for it would be, but just less good. Rachael did a good job so far, why change it.
the movie is not as interesting with different cat members leave the same characters dont change her she had a small part in the part 2 give her a chance to play a role
Rachelle was perfect. She was the perfect wicked one…we had been getting the Victoria thing in her and now a change would be not so welcoming for the Asian audience.
I feel Rachelle should still play the part of Victora. Directors should stop changing people to act a certain character. Also its hard for actors like myself to keep an acting job like that. In fact if a director makes a movie with a person then they should stay with the person for the shooting will be faster for the actress knows her character already. Also it save you time and studio hour rental money.the movie good just like it is.
I would just like to add that in my personal opinion… I just think that it is never a good idea to switch out any of the cast…regardless of how small the part is it is always obvious and it takes away from film… it’s is like a whack back to reality when I’m into a movie and feeling like it is really happening and then I see a new face where I’m expecting familiarity…it just makes it seem unrealistic it makes me have to remember it’s just a movie…and I think I always favor the first actor/actress they had in the first place.. like I said thought it’s what I’m already used to… But i think the cast of Twilight was perfect in all aspects.. I was amazed at how well they all fit together..that’s what made the movie… so yea I think it would be a big mistake to take Rachelle out of the movie..especially this movie
They’re still goin on with this franchise?Didn’think HollyWood was that desperate.
