Comedy Movies 2010 – Guide
9.02.10 # Comedy Movies # 113 CommentsYou Again
Starring: Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis
Director: Andy Fickman
Release Date: 24th September 2010
Ellen Ripley and Laurie Strode team up to …oh damn it’s another movie about a wedding. Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis play two moms. When Marni (Kristen Bell) realises her brother is about to marry the girl who bullied her in high school, she sets out to expose the fiancée’s true colors. Chick flick comedy that will struggle to be any better than bland.
Jackass 3-D
Starring: Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, etc
Director: Jeff Tremaine
Release Date: 15th October 2010
Johnny Knoxville’s acting career hasn’t gone so well. Thankfully the Jackass series is one of the most bankable in Hollywood (both previous Jackass moves made $80m worldwide from a budget of $5m and $11m respectively) so he’s back, along with the entire gang. This time they’re doing it in three dimensions. Wee Man in 3-D? I’m there.
Due Date
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx
Director: Todd Phillips
Release Date: 5th November 2010
Director Todd Phillips follows up The Hangover with this story of an expectant first-time father (Downey) who finds himself on a cross-country road trip with a mismatched traveling companion (Galifianakis), as he races to get home before his wife (Monaghan) gives birth. Think Planes, Trains And Automobiles.
Morning Glory
Starring: Harrison Ford, Rachel McAdams, Patrick Wilson, Jeff Goldblum, Diane Keaton
Director: Roger Michell
Release Date: 12th November 2010
Rachel McAdams plays an aspiring news producer trying to save a failing morning show by getting control of its feuding anchors (Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton). Ford has been picking poor projects ever since Air Force One in 1997. This comedy-drama doesn’t sound much more inspiring. The movie is basically trying to be The Devil Wears Prada in the TV industry, with a young woman looking to make a name for herself by winning over the old dragon.
The “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie” was excellent!
This is funny, great film entertainment that beats out all of the “A” lister films. This movie was a great reminder of what it was like back in Jr. High School, and adults will remember and enjoy this movie as well as middle schoolers and high schoolers.
Found myself laughing out loud in the theater and again at home with the rental. If you like fun, entertainment with a great storyline and excellent acting, especailly by the star of the movie Zachary Gordon (who plays the main character), go see this movie or rent it…you won’t be disappointed.
This movie is really enjoyable entertainment…..
everybody watch grown ups so funny!!!
WOHOOOO I DONT CARE FOR ANY OTHER MOVIES IM DYING TO SEE JACKASS 3-D yeah!!!!
Get Him To The Greek is so funny.
Can’t wait to see Due Date.
hmm Hot tub time machine and Grown ups are great movies
u guys need to see beerfest awesome humor film.
Seriously, most of these movies suck. Death At a Funeral was ok, and I did like Date Night, but all the others were stupid. Ok, maybe not Jackass 3-D. I thought a really funny one was the Hangover, and Vampires Suck. Those were way funnier than these lame movies!
robin hood was the crappiest movie i have seen in a long time it was so bad i left after like 30 mins if seeing it and i went the third day it came out and there was no one else in the theatre that should of been my first clue not to see it WORST MOVIE EVER
Add Pirannha..lol
Jim Carrey.. in a gay movie?? wrong move on his part. all i can say is wow & totally unexpected.
somebody help me, am trying to find a movie that was shown recently,(not sure when) only clue I have is its catch phrase. Makes American Pie” Looks Lame. Sounds Familiar?
Hi Angeline, I’m not sure to be honest. Was it shown on TV or in theaters?
Can’t say I’ve been overly impressed this year, although Hot Tub Time Machine was actually a lot better than expected. Still I guess I will eventually get around to Date Night, Cop Out, Dinner for Schmucks and Get Him to the Greek. I’m not expecting to be awed by any of them.
“Getting to the Greek” is the funniest movie that I remember seeing in recent history. Every line was so well delivered and thought-out that my husband and I rarely laughed, because we didn’t want to miss a single line. We even re-played the parts that we talked over 😀
P.S – Russ is the same character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall – just check out imdb. They just don’t reference the other movie, which would detract from this film
So I saw Get him to the Greek last weekend. Really disappointed. Where were all the jokes? It took itself way to seriously. All the relationship crap and battle with drugs was just depressing 🙁
I had the same experience with In Bruges last night, thought it would be much funnier, ended up being pretty sad and depressing. Trailer made it look much lighter.
Hey guys i watched lottery ticket
not only is it funny but its inspirational
10/10
