New Alice In Wonderland Trailer

New Alice In Wonderland Trailer
A new trailer for Tim Burton’s upcoming 3D Alice in Wonderland trailer has just been released. If you were already excited about it this will probably excite you more, likewise, if you were already dreading the film, this will probably only convince you further.

The trailer shows off the kind of extravagant and imaginitive visuals that we have come to expect from Tim Burton. Also on show is more of what we can expect from stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska who plays the 19 year old Alice.

I’m a big fan of Johnny Depp but I really think he needs to take a break from playing crazy English characters. The Mad Hatter looks a bit too Willy Wonka-esque for my liking as that film really made me ill.

Alice in Wonderland is out March 2010

Not enough Mad Hatter in the trailer. I feel like Johnny Depp is being kept a secret.

Johnny depp doesnt need to be in the trailor, his character is just gonna be weird, thats the Johnny Depp character in most of his movies and im sick of it

Sheridan, I think your humor is too subtle.

I know I’m the token Movie-Moron cynic, but this trailer looks inane. Unfunny jokes, CGI that can’t decide if it’s cartoony or photorealistic, annoying big heads, dialog about pig bellies … ugh.

Anyone else feel like the Mad Hatter is Elijah Wood as a birthday clown?

  • Sheridan Passell said:

Yes. Or Madonna in her 50s.

oh how negative you all can be. Enjoy it for what it is. AWESOME!

You’re right Mutant. It’s a bit too animated for my liking, but I’m interested to see it.

Tim is on notice. He has turned into a hack. He uses the same people, the same style, the same motifs, and the same visuals in all – although Big Fish is a bit different – and it’s really tired.

It’s not tired, it’s his style. I’m looking forward to seeing this personally

I saw the trailor and it is awesome. If you can come up with an imaginative twist to this classic go to it. It looks like Tim Burton is going to give us a trip to fantasy world. I’m packing for it!

It looks exactly like you would expect Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland to look, pretty much the definitive film version. Most of the doubts I’ve heard voiced about it stem from the fact that Alice in Wonderland isn’t UP or something. It’s supposed to be odd and disjointed because that’s the story.
The truth is the book is more studied than it is liked, these days. To hardcore fans it’s sort of the Tristram Shandy of Finnegans Wake of kids literature.
