Tom Cruise's Knight & Day Trailer
The trailer for Tom Cruise’s action-comedy Knight & Day has bounced off the couch onto the internet.

Here’s the official synopsis -

Knight & Day sees a fugitive couple (Cruise and Diaz) on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.

Cruise had been juggling what his next career move would be, flip-flopping between this, taking the lead role in Salt, or heading up 2011’s The Tourist. In the end he felt those two projects were too similar to his Mission: Impossible franchise and chose Knight & Day for its emphasis on comedy. His part in Salt was re-written for Angelina Jolie.

How much this movie appeals to you depends on what you think of Tom Cruise playing it for laughs. Personally I think he can do comedy and if he puts the same fearlessness into this that he did Tropic Thunder it could be an appealing date movie for next summer.

Knight & Day also stars Maggie Grace, Paul Dano, Peter “never to be trusted” Sarsgaard and Olivier Martinez. It’s directed by James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line, Kate & Leopold) and released on July 2nd, 2010.

the trailer looks alright, but it sounds like one of those movies where they came up with a pun and built a script round it. It could just as easily been called Jim and Tonic or Jane and Able or Foot and South

    Or Winter and Summer
    Or Mop and Bucket
