How To Train Your Dragon Sequel In 2013

‘How to Train your Dragon’ is officially THE sleeper hit of the year so far. What looked like another run of the mill computer animated film has proved to be anything but. Critics love it, audiences love it and I haven’t even seen it! On the back of this success, Dreamworks have decided they want to get How To Train Your Dragon 2 out as quick as is humanly possible (Which turns out to be about 3 years. Those animators are a lazy bunch).
Here’s what Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg had to say.
“2010 is off to a strong start, thanks in large part to the performance of ‘How to Train Your Dragon,’ which – having grossed nearly $375 million to date in worldwide box office – has become DreamWorks Animation’s next franchise. We plan to release the sequel theatrically in 2013,”
Talking of milking a franchise for everything its worth, Katzenberg also mentioned the upcoming Shrek film called ‘Shrek Forever After’. Or as I like to call it, ‘Shrek F**k Off Forever’
“3D continues to have a tremendous impact on the industry at large and we are now looking forward with great anticipation to bringing ‘Shrek Forever After,’ the final chapter in our beloved ‘Shrek’ series and the first in 3D, to audiences across the globe next month.”
‘Shrek Forever After’ is due out some time in May. As if you care.

I was genuinely surprised when I saw this film. The 3D CGI is amazing. The quality was so rich, right up to the hairs on the Vikings’ arms. The other great thing about it was the story. It was like a mini-epic taking the viewer on a proper complete journey.
I’d be worried that the movie took it as far as the story could go but I am aware there are several stories about Hiccup the Viking so perhaps they’ll follow one of them.
It was also cool seeing the revamped 3D Dreamworks logo at the begining
On the matter of Shrek, the latest trailer actually made it seem like they could have an OK plot they are following, and again the CGI looks dazzling.
how to train your dragon so cool so far!!!
The story has seemed to be the crucial part in this film, the question is, will number 2 have a good enough storyline to support all those tasty CGI titbits? Well, HTTYD has impressed me enough so far that Dreamworks are actually still making good stuff, and not sitting around the office all day going barbalbarbalbarb… The first one, impressive musical accompaniments, Mind blowing CGI, Eyeball piercing detail and a lot of effort. The point is, can number 2 live up to this?
“How To Train Your Dragon” was spectacular! i loved watching it, even though i didnt get to watch it in 3D…thank you mother for not giving me enough to watch a movie in 3D…but none-the-less, “How To Train Your Dragon” was awesome to see…I know it had the whole “nerd became the hero” thing going on, but they made it something to really experience, so i am very happy to everybody who saw this amazing film in 3D, but if u haven’t (like moi) dont feel bad, HTTYD is a movie that people (including me) will find more and more entertaining each time they watch it…….man that was cheesy, wasnt it? but i meant all of that, so dont mock me ppl!! so, to wrap it all up, “How To Train Your Dragon” RULZ!!!
