It seems that the next spoof movie in the vein of ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Date Movie’ and ‘Epic Movie’ has just been revealed. The film will be called ‘Dance Flick’ and it appears it will be a send up of dance films (such as ‘Step Up’) and musicals (such as ‘Hairspray’).

I don’t really know what to think about this one. On the one hand, these films stopped being funny after ‘Scary Movie’ part one and I hate to see Marlon Wayans squandering the talent he displayed in ‘Requiem for a Dream’. On the other hand at least the title doesn’t end in ‘-movie’ and people keep flocking to see these cookie-cutter comedies so you can’t really blame them if they keep churning them out.

My advice is to vote with your wallet and avoid it like the plague.
