Heath Ledger’s Last Interview

Whether it’s actually the final on camera interview or not, it’s the last one available online. He discusses playing the Joker, and the fact he was called in rather than inquiring after the role.

He says the part was “the most fun I’ve had playing a character”, and that it was hard stamina wise. The theories that it left him deeply disturbed are a little hard to buy from his attitude here.

Others have said his mannerisms in the video suggest drug use. The constant scratching and fidgeting. Again, it’s a bit of a stretch.

Regardless of the tragic events that followed, and the roots of them, it’s an interesting insight.

He certainly was a charming and likeable soul from what’s in evidence. It is sad.

Note: The 2nd most popular internet search on the day he died was ‘Keith Ledger’. The 35th most popular was ‘The Dark Night’. 50th was ‘Keith Fletcher’. 58th, ‘Keith Legend’.
