Transformers: Dark Of The Moon – Trailer

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Trailer (Transformers 3 Trailer)
Finally, the moment all real film fans have been awaiting, the first trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Rejoice, more big robots and explosions and product placement and annoying stereotype comic-relief characters.

Surprisingly it features none of the things I mentioned. Were it not a Transformers/Michael Bay movie, I would actually be interested in seeing the film having just watched this trailer.

The film’s star Shia LaBeouf reckons that the third one is the best yet. Here’s what the guy had to say.

“This is, and I’m not just BS-ing you, it’s the best movie we’ve made of the three by far,” Shia LaBeouf told MTV News recently. “The script is the best script we’ve had. The second movie, we were in the middle of a writers’ strike, writing on the go,” he explained. “The first movie, we had the discovery, and this movie really is the fruition of the rhythm we’ve created out of five years working together. I’m super proud of this movie.”

Considering the piss-poor standard the first two set, that’s not such an amazing feat.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is released in the U.S. and U.K. on July 1st 2011. It stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Patrick Dempsey, Ramon Rodriguez, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and a bunch of robots that are hard to tell apart when they’re fighting.

What’s the betting Bay stole this idea from the Apollo 11 thriller script that was doing the rounds and is in production now.

In this context though it’s completely redundant to think that introducing a same-old-same-old transformer with a beard is exciting, we’ve been watching them for two movies now. It would actually be interesting if the teaser was of the shadow of Unicron, or a sign of the dinobots.

I agree you would never guess it was a Transformers movie the way it is set up.
The first two were a bit of a let down but it didn’t stop me enjoying them.
Here’s hoping this one has a bit more substance

Yeah I’m lookgin forward to it, just a kcik back and enjoy movie. I knopw it’s not the same as the cartoon, but if it was – I got a feeling it’d suck balls. The cartoon was fantastic, but as a cartoon, as a movie, it needs the explosions, and the fight scenes. You can’t have a deep, thought provoking drama with giant robots from space. Doesn’t work lol.
