Director: John Gulager
Out: TBA 2012
“Feast” trilogy director John Gulager and writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are coming together for the sequel to Alex Aja’s “Piranha 3D.” There’s something in the water… again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.
Our Trailer Rating: 7/10
How can you not like where it’s coming from.
Chronicle
Starring: Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan, Alex Russell
Director: Joshua Trank
Out: February 3, 2012
Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to them developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities, and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.
Our Trailer Rating: 9/10
Ok they may be familiar ‘Magneto’ powers on show but the story is an intriguing one and the Cloverfield-shooting style could add something to this genre. This trailer gets better the more you watch it. The YouTube version has been viewed 6 million times in two weeks, so it’s fairly certain it will be a sleeper hit.
The Devil Inside
Starring: Fernanda Andrade, Isabella Rossi, Simon Quarterman
Director: William Brent Bell
Out: January 6, 2012
In 1989, emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call from Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) confessing that she had brutally killed three people. 20 years later, her daughter Isabella (Fernanda Andrade) seeks to understand the truth about what happened that night. She travels to the Centrino Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Italy where her mother has been locked away to determine if her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed. When she recruits two young exorcists (Simon Quarterman and Evan Helmuth) to cure her mom using unconventional methods combining both science and religion, they come face-to-face with pure evil in the form of four powerful demons possessing Maria.
Our Trailer Rating: 6/10
Not bad, but no exorcism trailer can escape the fact it was all done much better 38 years ago. Also the implication of recent exorcism movies is that exorcisms are fact, so if you don’t believe in them the trailers are just a bit annoying and uninvolving.

Safe looks pretty good, but you never know with Statham movies nowadays.
21 Jump St does look funny but I normally like Jonah Hill’s stuff. Channing Tatum seems to be doing a great Mark Wahlberg impression!
Chronicle looks great but reminds me of Monsters, e.g. nice concept but ultimately falls flat. Innkeepers looks interesting but I’ll probably wait to hear word-of-mouth for that one.
I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars films at the cinema so I am actually quite keen to see the whole lot on the big screen.
I think ParaNorman looks brilliant, better than Coraline anyway!
My kids loved the 1st Journey movie and this looks more of the same. Dwayne isn’t much of an upgrade from Brendan Fraser, they both get on my nerves!
You didn’t see any of the Star Wars prequels at the cinema?
No
)
My idea was to re-watch all of the originals before going to the cinema but that never happened in time for ep 1 or 2!
I was in the process of showing my kids (then aged 6 & 4) the 5 films before ep 3, determined to catch the last one at the cinema, but finished the 5th movie the same weekend that it stopped showing at all the local cinemas!
Moral of the story: Force your kids to watch a movie every night instead of only at weekends! (this worked out for Indiana Jones
i think i better keep my head us for jason’movie coz he never fails and the trailer seems nice too
