New Pirates’ On Stranger Tides Poster
31.03.11 # Sequel # 5 Comments
There’s a new poster out for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and it highlights some of the characters/creatures that we haven’t seen very much of in the rest of the promotion so far – the mermaids! Take a look below:

I find it hi-larious that they decided to have one ginger, one brunette and one blonde mermaid on the poster, covering all their bases in terms of MAN APPEAL. It’s not a very good poster. Actually, it’s quite a bad poster. It’s like someone just zoomed in on the left-hand side of this poster:

And what is up with the brunette’s neck?! Thankfully, there are other posters for the movie, and luckily the rest are quite a bit better, despite being VERY uninspired. The least they could do is play around with the typography a little. Anyway, take a look below and let us know what your favourite is. Bonus points if you have a non-obvious reason for the Penelope Cruz one being your favourite.

First of I have to say they all have interesting features.
1 the Mermaids show what’s to be expected in this movie, and they’re different.
2, All the other posters look good because they have a lot of character variety, and great headshots.
3 the main title poster shows good features like a title and
and interesting bacgound.
I frankly think they look good.
Forget the posters, the content in the film is what I’m worried about. I want a huge improvement after part 3.
Ian McShane as Blackbeard; a casting gem……oh how you have come along way since “Lovejoy” Ian………..this film will be worth watching just for you.
I think it might be good because it’s been three years since
“At Worlds End” so now they can start fresh, with a new story, and new characters, but keep of course Jack Sparrow.
I think it might have some improvment perhaps.
