Justice League Movie In 2013. Batman Reboot1.04.11 # News # 16 Comments
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ looms like mist-cloaked mountain; simultaneously distant yet almost close enough to touch. While we’re all eagerly anticipating the film’s release, there is also a part of us which is sad knowing that the film will mark the end of Chris Nolan’s association with the caped crusader.
Or will it?
In a recent interview with Los Angeles Times, Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov said that Nolan and his producing partner and wife, Emma Thomas, will oversee production of a Batman reboot following the completion of Nolan’s trilogy.
“We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman…Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is.”
As well as continuing Batman following ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Robinov also has the optimistic aim of bringing a film version of the Justice League to cinemas in 2013. With Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ due out next year, it’s only natural that Warner Bros. should be keen to get their top heroes on screen together as well. Nolan’s ‘gritty’ Batman Universe would obviously not sit comfortably alongside the fictional realities of your Supermans and your Green Lanterns so, with that in mind, it is unsurprising that they would want to give Batman a fresh identity.
