Justice League Movie In 2013. Batman Reboot

Batman Justice League
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ looms like mist-cloaked mountain; simultaneously distant yet almost close enough to touch. While we’re all eagerly anticipating the film’s release, there is also a part of us which is sad knowing that the film will mark the end of Chris Nolan’s association with the caped crusader.

Or will it?

In a recent interview with Los Angeles Times, Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov said that Nolan and his producing partner and wife, Emma Thomas, will oversee production of a Batman reboot following the completion of Nolan’s trilogy.

“We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman…Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is.”

As well as continuing Batman following ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Robinov also has the optimistic aim of bringing a film version of the Justice League to cinemas in 2013. With Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ due out next year, it’s only natural that Warner Bros. should be keen to get their top heroes on screen together as well. Nolan’s ‘gritty’ Batman Universe would obviously not sit comfortably alongside the fictional realities of your Supermans and your Green Lanterns so, with that in mind, it is unsurprising that they would want to give Batman a fresh identity.

Is it just me that wants to see a whole Justice League movie? With the technology we have today we could make such an AWESOME film with all the superheroes at once, I’d love to see that :)

Such an obvious april fools joke. It would make no sense for Nolan to finish a gritty realistic Batman trilogy that he told us so many times will be his last Batman movie and then go on to just make another reboot.

Yeah I agree its gotta be a joke. If any thing he should give batman beyound a shot at the big screen don’t get me wrong I’d love to see a JLA movie but I don’t see it happening any time soon

I frankly agree with both Hayden & Jake first off I deffinately want to see a JLA movie I think it would be great.
As for this whole Batman reboot stuff I think we’ve had enough of that, I mean back in 2005 we had “Batman Begins”
two or three years later we had “the Dark Knight” which were both great to awsome!
Now you’re saying after this third movie by Nolan, this
Emma Thompson’s going to start over from the beginning?
I frankly hope they change their mind on that one, and make the Dark Knight Rises and make it as awsome as the other two.
Maybe the JLA moviewill be just as Awsome!! as the Avengers will be.

It’s not an April Fools. Look at the story’s source (LA Times), that’s dated March 29th.

Ok fair enough after checking the source it’s not an april fools joke. But with the new batman reboot are they going to make Batman less realistic now to fit into the justice league? If they made the Batman reboot less gritty and realistic that means that could use the more of the less realistic villains like Mr.Freeze, poison ivy and clay face.

Ok Ok, I think I get what you people are saying.
You’re saying we want more of a fictional look, not so much a semi realistic look like in the ones with “Christian Bale”.
I frankly think that, maybe they could squeez it in so a long reboot won’t be nesesacery.

I thought the ones with Bale were great frankly.

It depends. They still might keep the Batman movies totally separate to the Justice League movies, with two different actors.

But if it’s the same actor, and since the Justice League includes alien characters like Superman and Martian Manhunter, then Nolan’s universe is going to go right out the window, opening the door for the return of Mr.Freeze etc.

Gee that JLA films has been discussed for eon’s. I just hope that DC aren’t rushing into this endeavour just because of the upcoming Avengers film as this would be a real shame. A franchise with the tag line “The world’s finest Superheroes” should not be tackled lightly. If this is the case then where the hell are all the films featuring the other league members, OK Wonder Woman is getting her own TV show( from the man behind Ally McBeal !!!!!!!) and the Green Lantern flick is imminent but how about Flash, Aquaman and J’Onn J’Onzz.

I really do look forward to the day when a decent JLA film appears on our screens but it has to be done with the upmost care, respect, special effects and more importantly, as Nolan has proved, decent characterisation.

I think you are all missing the huge spoiler. Warner Bros is saying they will HAVE to reinvent Batman.
That’s because Bane is going to kill (or severely disable) him in The Dark Night Rises

Instead of a justice league film we should hope for something bigger. something for both marvel and dc comic fans alike. im not one to be keen on video games yet this may be a soultion. as you may well know Mortal Kombat Vs. Dc universe seems to be a great thing. what if they did a film on Marvel Vs. DC? moreover a game? and street fighter vs mortal kombat? i know it may seem like crap because it is. just a thought.

I hope I live long enough to see a Marvel vs DC movie.

I hope I’m dead before a Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat movie.

I have a friend who works for the DC comics movie department and she told me that there will not be a Justice League movie out anytime soon. They would have to make movies for all the characters first be for they make a Justice League movie.
