Is there going to be a The Hangover 3? Yes. In 2013. So what can we expect from it?
At the start of the year Ed Helms (Stu) said The Hangover 3 was unlikely. “I doubt it. I don’t think Todd would let that happen… I would hope that it kind of has a dignified legacy, if that makes any sense.” But money talks. The tone has changed. The Hangover Part II took $105 million over the four-day Memorial Day weekend – the second biggest Fri-Sun opening for an R-rated movie (after The Matrix Reloaded), and the top-grossing weekend ever for a live-action comedy. Internationally it has earned $60m so far. The first Hangover was the highest-grossing R-rated comedy in history, with $277m domestic. Expect this to finish close.
Before it opened, director Todd Phillips said, “If we were to do a third one, if the audience, if the desire was there, I think we have a very clear idea where that would head. It’s certainly not in the same template that you’ve seen these movies. It’s a new idea. The third would be very much a finale and an ending. I haven’t discussed it with the actors. As far as where it takes place, I’m very open, like the Olympic committee, to being pitched and presented cities, flown around with wine and women and bribed. Then I will make my decision.” He added, “It will not revolve around a wedding or a forgotten night. …Alan will never get married. Alan’s asexual. If he doesn’t know that by now, he’s in trouble.”
So Phillips has his idea, but isn’t sure yet where The Hangover 3 will be set. He picked Bangkok for Part II, like Las Vegas, because it “just sounds like trouble”, and so there’s speculation that bad-behavoir-magnet Amsterdam might be next. When quizzed about going Dutch on the red carpet, the cast agreed it was a natural next step.
For me, whatever change they make they need to keep a strong mystery-to-be-solved element, and not focus entirely on the wild adventure, comedy and likeable characters.

I would see The Hangover 3 saw the 2nd it was still funny. Actually I would see any movie with that cast in it.
Have it set in Iraq. Talk about upping the ante.
Have it set in New Orleans, have the plot be where Alan is about to have a birthday party, and the guys Phil, Stu, and Doug want to take him to New Orleans to get him some action. But there night out doesn’t go as plan when they wake up with no memory of what they did. All they know is that an alligator is in there bathroom, a dog is under the bed, and above that, where’s there car they drove in? Have Doug be with them this time so he can see what crazy stuff they get involved in.
I don’t care where at, I just want Cho back in it…… He doesn’t deserve to be in prison
Its should be in amstrdam …… and put afrojack in the movie cuz the wolf pack should get f*cked up after a wild night in amsterdam where the dutch music gets everybody ready to party all night long lol……… just sayn haha

The Hangover 3 should take place in amstrdam, no doubt. Phil and his wife gets a divorce and phil finds a new women plans on getting remarried. Phil goes hard and wants the boys to take a trip to amstrdam. But this time alan doesnt drug the boys, the men who own sex slaves do. The boys wake up to a whole new world of crime and choas. The only way to get out depends on alans donk.
Or maybe in Britain. Can you imagine these guys wreaking havoc in the most civilized nation on Earth? Oh so many possibilities…
i would say they start somewhere in Amsterdam and end up in random country, like one of these Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, those are just my thoughts.

I agree!! Mexican cartel for sure!!! I mean they are for once just going on vacation and its in mexico and all hell breaks loose!!! Perfect!!
it should be in amsterdam and i would definetly see hangover 3, one and 2 are by far the funniest movies i have ever seen
i think it should be in amsterdam they should definetly make a hangover 3 one i have seen the part 2 three times and it is still funny and by far the funniest movie i have ever seen and tod phillips has to definetly make a 3 one

it really wouldnt matter where the Hangover 3 takes place
just find another place that sounds like trouble
but it would be nice to finally have doug with them lol
so he can go through what they did when they lost him and teddy
