There’s been plenty of X-Men: First Class 2 talk over recent days, so what has been said and how likely is a sequel?
First the bad news. A sequel has not been announced. …Yet. If the movie was a complete slam dunk, it would have been. After all, a screenwriter for The Hangover Part III was hired virtually the day after it opened.
Quality-wise, First Class is a roaring success, with an 87% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and an 8.2 rating from the public on IMDB, putting it into the top 250 public-voted movies ever made. What’s causing the studio to pause for thought is the slightly underwhelming box office. First Class had the least attended opening weekend of any of the X-Men films, its $55m only passable by the standard and down significantly on X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s $85m. Hopefully better word of mouth will help it keep afloat longer, and all sequels are victims to a certain extent of the previous film – Spider-Man 3 opened huge because Spider-Man 2 was so good, First Class opened weaker because audiences were underwhelmed by Origins: Wolverine. Another factor is, unlike the previous three movies, First Class didn’t have any stars. If the studio are wise they’ll remember that Batman Begins (which only did decent box office, but thrilled those who saw it) led to The Dark Knight (which did enormous box office). The First Class actors will be a much bigger draw next time around.
Unusually, First Class is potentially the second X-Men franchise running simultaneously, what with Wolverine about to get another film next summer. It’ll be interesting to see which one wins out, or if they can both co-exist. There’s a slim chance the studio won’t make any firm decision until Wolverine 2 comes out, giving them an opportunity to compare the numbers.
But all things considered, an X-Men: First Class sequel is much more likely than not.
Plot-wise, there’s not much point looking to the comics for where the story will head. Although there is a series of the same name, the differences with the first movie are enormous. Instead it’s wiser to listen to producer Bryan Singer who’s said “When [First Class] happened, Kennedy had not been assassinated and the Vietnam War hadn’t happened yet. …[Also] what’s really interesting about the ’60s setting is the civil rights movement. [Professor X and Magneto are] really the Malcolm X and Martin Luther King of comic mythology.”
Meanwhile, First Class director Matthew Vaughn has stated “We will only have one more new character [in an X-Men: First Class sequel]. I won’t say who he…I won’t say who he or she is! …As Professor X is in a wheelchair, Magneto needs to have a nemesis he can fight with. Someone that will be his equal. I know who it is. It would be nice if I could say something, but I can’t.”
There’s also a possibility Wolverine himself could join the franchise in a more significant way than his cameo. Singer adds, “I think there would definitely be room. I think it would be very exciting. This universe has to establish itself first, but that would be a very interesting and fun thing.” It’s likely that a sequel would be set before Wolverine lost his memory in the 70s. And besides, the director has shown he will throw out continuity with other movies if it serves his story. If the Wolverine franchise starts to faulter, then moving him back over to the winning team could make sense, especially if Jackman is still keen on playing the character.

If 2 is focusing on Magneto, then the next villian shuld be Human. Friends of a Humanity, or if yuu can get your balls back from the studio that cut them off, redo God loves, Man kills. And this time do it. Correctly I think organized religion is due for a severe dressing down don’t you? Or the Mags mini series Testament. Oh I could give less of a f*+# about the Ff ty;)

Then the xmen and Charles xavior fight for man kind and prevent world war 3 together against magneto and Emma Frost Brotherhood Charles Xavier Some How’ stop Magneto and Win yong Jean grey over on their side But by then Magneto attacks Using cars trucks and missiles that were Amed at him now Against the xmen and charls ,but the yong Jean Grey rises up against magneto, power play strugle back and forth Magnetism and telekinetic energy as both battle displaying Enormous amounts of power jean starts to loos controle and before she goes super nova she calls out to scot Telepathically Where earlier his I visers were pulled off by magnetos Magnetism force pull She tells him open your eyes Scot , And she holds back his i beems’s telekineticley And she tells him now look right at magneto , Magnetos helmet comes right off From Scott’s Blast Then Charles Xavier says without his helmet he’s mine and Uses his mind powers And saves the day. I don’t know about you guys but I think that would make a great sequel in for xmen first class…just thought
The movie is not just focused on my Magneto ,it’s focused on Charles Xavier as well The battle between everyone else and the mutants And the (weapon yong jean grey)that Magneto seeks to use young Jean Grey By brainwashing her like the comic With Emma Frost, In his quest of war to destroying mankind And muten kind as dominant species of evolution And Charles Xavier and his xmen always seem to be in the way…… I don’t care what you guys think or what ever but that’s the way a movie should be in the continuing story I don’t hating lol

That sounds like a mix between the first xmen and the third.
I think the first class sequel should be like x-men cartoon series having all the characters and starting the battles between professor X vs Magneto, but how ever Im still thinking how dose Wolverine( Jackman) fits in the story line from the end of the saga movies to the beginning???Unless change character….

im just a fan and they ruined spiderman 3: making him turning evil from the suit by doing ska and snapping his fingers and looking at girls and bring girls on dates to get others jealous, and in x3 kill xavier the strongest pshycic mind like nothing, kill the future leader cyclops of the xmen off (BY THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE! MY EX SAID SHE LOVED ME BUT NOW SAYS SHE HATES ME…NO DESINTEGRSTION) and during the first three movies not showing how powerful he can be except ripping his glasses off at the train station blowing the roof off during origins wolverine in the high school having his blue blockers fall off and blow the high school to grave and having jean grey force push and block his blast that destroyed a dam. and dont forget when deadpool shot his laser eyes at wolverine and made his claws so hot he was able to cut Deadpools adamantium infused head off with super glowing red hot adamantium. FREAKING POWER WE NEVER SAW!!!! SORRY PEOPLE FOCUSED WAY TOO MUCH ON WOLVERINE!
If they didnt ruin X3, Prof X death, Jean Greys Death, and Scott Summers death….Unless There is a mutant that can go back in time with special Ops Magneto, Mystique (powers back, lets just say the cure wasnt permanent (wolverines blood mutant power sees it as a disease or poison was the cure to the cure….(Id like to see a team of storm, wolverine, magneto, mystique, a team of pyro and iceman who dont get along but whos powers compliment eachother. Also a not so goofy juggernaut teamed up with colossus, Kitty pryde (who is in love with colossus (see comics) and rogue, whos powers like magnetos and mystiques return with a twist, she can drain or kill as well as take powers. And has those whos shes touched, wolverines, to heal, which is how they discover the cure to the “cure” she has pyros, icemans, magnetos and who ever else she touched. Well they go back to before phoenix kills scott and Prof X. And those who go back replace those in current time, just part of the mutants powers. There is a guy with green hair in the xmen cartroon that goes through time. ANYWAYS. The reason they go throguh time is because like the danger room in X3 they mutant registration act comes into effect and with the failure of jimmys cure they use willam strykers last order. A robot that isnt metal and could detain mutant in camps. This wouldnt have happend with grey, summers, and xavier were alive.
But they bring them back to fight and feel that their deaths werent part of the natrual plan. And with Grey realizing what her future holds allows xavier to work with her mind making her very stable, and happy. but allowing for extraordinary telekenesis and mental powers. While summers knocks up grey, creating one of the most important mutants of all time… Cable. A well trained military commando with energy blast like his father and telekenesis and mind reading like his mom…..so anyways this movie fixes X3 mistakes. while sentinels raid the mansion once again xavier and lencher are attacked by sentinels while playing chess in the same room as first class some continuity to it…. and while xavier cant control thier minds and lencher cant maninpulate them due to a plastic insulated molding, lencher uses the metal chess pieces like rapid fire machine guns and re uses the pieces taking the heads off the machines while grey also helps lencher outside to amplify his power (lifting military tankers and throwing them at super fast rates destroying them. While summers who history had marked for dead cuts through them like a hot knife through butter as well as wolvie cutting then up for fun. and rogue kitty pryde and colossus work together. Pyro melts them like its fun for him, and rogue having touched magneto from the past and controlling her power she takes scrap parts from smashed military vehile parts she fires them and uses them to crush them into pieces of junk. kitty pryde aka shadow cat holds colossus hand phases colossus inside a larger sentinel (i assume they will have larger sizes) then she walks out and we see colossus transform into metal monster mode and crush it down from the inside out.
Also we see juggernaut running and curshing through sentinels left and right and kitty pryde walks into a sentinel with a weapon of some sort looks like a weapon that looks like was designed for her…and she sits inside while the sentinel tears open itself looking for her and she just cuts main piece and vital wiring and it drops. looking at a note book. it shows xavier is teaching math, science mutant things, and tactical mutant tatics. the ending of the scene could be lead with a high up govt official saying to a larger sentinel to command group 4 to get close together a dangerous mutant is around doing so “yelling its very close!” “self destruct” and they do and mystique turns back blue. AND TO END THE SCENE a large sentinel larger than all of them, immune to heat, to large to cut with claws, and kitty prydes disassebling and even to big for colossus, and greys telekenesis puts them all in trouble…pyro tries holding it off but has no effect and before Juggernaut gets going to retains him and sedates and knocks him out and starts to prepare to do the same to the rest. In danger with no help an iceman in ice form on an ice slide fires large ammounts of ice freezing the sentinel and throwing a giant ice boulder out of thin air through it, when landing the half working sentinel tries repairing itself but he touches the sentinel freezing it till it shatters. Then roll the credits For X4 (obviously the mission is to destroy the sentinels to save certain xmen, storm, beast ect. esp since the president wants beast released because they are friends. but master mold only holds to the parameters and programming to unknown commands left by stryker. And were agreed upon by McCoy and and others before the present was changed for this reason bringing back Prof x, grey and summers. the sentinels at first worked for McCoy and the president arresting those mutants who (kept him up at night worried they could move cities with their minds. things change when storm, beast himself, nightcrawler, jubilee, were being held. so blah blah blah a battle rages on machine vs powers. while we find out grey is pregnant with cable and either go the way of Mr sinister, the brood and Aliens like movie or Apocalypse. I like the Idea of the ancient finding of apolcalypse and that nathan summers (cable) was their chosen one (rip off from star wars and skywalker clan) but strong enough to fight against the ancient apocalypse. using his future mutant (i guess he be a scummy coward) be used by cable to obtain future weaponry and alien tech to fight apocalypse. Anyways x4 the sentinel one be the bringing back of the stupidly killed of xmen, with the growing powers of the young iceman, rogue, colossus, kitty pryde, etc. while we see the peaking power of grey in a good way summers the leader finally! while we see wolverine getting some gray hair maybe prof x not controlling the situation due to robots until a surprise ending (master mold so soffisticated that his mind is like a human, acutally less complex more mapped he can control it like a human change his programming etc. send out commands. and rather destroy all sentinels, xavier takes over master molds commands using sentinels to arrest evil mutants, as well as corrupt govt officials who made this all happen. whit the release of storm, McCoy nightcrawler, jubilee…and they can be big parts in X5….which can go the apocalypse way or brood way (for those who dont know but love the movies (apocalypse kicks the crap out of the xmen except when they work together, xaviers mind reading, beasts philosophy to bypass apocalypses security run by a ship from a far off future that only listens to his master except when beat reasons with him. cyclops shooting down walls trying to imprison them, greys powers holding him off wolvie cutting him up and all that. Apoc thinks him among very few mutants that can serve and build his eutopia and humans he can enslave should be left to live. (the pyramids were thought to be built for him until some how the humans maybe some early mutants figured out how to imprison him.) that could be X5. i think going back that way to the direction of the franchise be sick. and can go at least 3 deep, the sentinel, with the sentinel ending with prof x controlling and using cerebro to locate apocalypse which he can feel evil and destruction leading to the next movie. and that can lead to an xmen ass kicking, till the third part with nathan being a teen young adult with mardsen with gray in his hair etc to fight apocalypse. and finally showing humans mutants care. and that it was both that stopped him long ago leading to the world xavier hoped for and lencher finaly is happy with.or it could go with sentinel, apocalypse, and brood (imagine aliens with way more aliens and instead of space marines xmen using wolvie to cut them open, storm frying them. colossus crushing heads. and iceman freezing an egg nest. OR WHAT ROCK is X4 Sentinel Rising, X5 The myth of Apocalypse X6 The prophecy (maybe like in xmen first class nathan summers aka cable becomes the dominant species, he doesnt identify as a mutant but as a regular person the the evolution is complete!) and possibly a 3 part series of xmen vs apocalypse (xmen and cable freeing slaved mutants and humans alike) or the brood idea. or if all three work out make the brood one with newer mutants with some other recognizable ones.

Why not x-men vs. shi’ar imperial guards
I have to get this off my chest first: First Class could have ended rather differently and far more eventful than it did. Under my writing, Magneto, after seizing control of those projectiles, would have risen like some lord of the air and, accompanied by said projectiles, proceeded to personally supervise the utter destruction of the American-Soviet fleet. What better way to inaugurate the true birth of the Master of Magnetism and his ideals onscreen than the death of homo sapiens and with their own weapons no less?
Had it ended THAT way, Part 2 would see the tensions between East and West boil over to WW3 but both sides would have known that mutants were truly responsible for the massacre. This would probably lead to the formation their own anti-mutant corps and so on and so forth leading to a host of situations which would give Charles and Erik plenty to deal with.
But since it didn’t end that way and whatever the story turns out to be, I’d like the sequel to have far more spectacular uses of Magneto’s power. Electromagnetism is far more crucial to our existence than most people realise and Erik’s gift can conquer whole nations if there is a writer with cajones enough to venture far and wide with his or her mind and pen. The sequel should show Erik mostly – if not fully – mastering his power and generating enough tesla to create more varied effects than what is audience is fed, from manipulating the diagmagnetic properties inherent in all matter to erecting a magnetic force field capable of repelling explosive forces. That would make one hell of a sequel and finally allow Magneto’s onscreen reputation to match his canon one.
i think storm would be a great additon to the x-man and having storm in the x-man movie will probley attract more people and storm has always been part of the x-man she is the x-man leader and one of the most importent characters in the x-man and it would be a shame to leave her out and if they add storm it would mean more drama and it’d be more thrilling and action packed cause you know her arch enemy the thing that jumps from peoples minds to get to storm just imange what they can do with that
Why not show how cyclops, jean grey, and storm all came to be part of Xavier’s students
First off, First class sucked for more reasons than one…Only those who have never read a single marvel comic would not be offended by the plot of this story. The first students(even said it in the first x-men) were Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Jean Grey and Angel. This movie did not set up for anything other than whoever imagined this retarded world. I do not even consider this a real movie of marvel because Stan Lee did not do a cameo, much less even like the story plot; He said so himself when Avengers came out…(Stan Lee cameos all his REAL marvel movies!!!) I could go on for days on how they went wrong from the very beginning, but I will only say this…FIRST CLASS SUCKED!!! other than being eye candy at times, it was insulting to true marvel fans…(Btw, isn’t havock scotts brother? Where is the logic?

Certainly I initally got offended at the roster and plot. But I got over it by convincing myself and others who bothered that it was NOT Earth-616. Absolutely not. Thus convinced, I began to enjoy the movie for what it was.
