10 Not-Yet Famous Actors Who Got Killed In Horror Movies

4. Seann William Scott in Final Destination (2000)

Famous Actors
Paperboy: The Movie

Back when the concept of this movie was novel and fresh, Seann William Scott appeared as blundering idiot-on-a-bike Billy, one of the kids on Death’s Wanted List. Final Destination was excellent in the way it made audiences second-guess how each character’s death would arrive, typically in complex and often surprisingly amusing fashion.

Amanda Detmer’s sudden death-by-bus is often recalled but what I found most resonating was that Seann’s decapitation is not the regular movie-style beheading which occurs at the neck. Instead, it happens halfway across his mouth providing a more grisly and unclean cut across the neck – not often you see this. Well done.

3. Kevin Bacon in Friday the 13th (1980)

Famous Actors
Bacon spit-roast at summer camp is neither as appetising or as sexual as it sounds. In fact Kevin Bacon kicks the bucket in this milestone horror movie via an arrow through the throat, while supine (look up this word if you need to, it’s a good one).

Below is the unrated version of the death so there’s more blood and more death-rattling – for all of you who enjoy watching the hangman’s jig. Kevin would later go on to mince around with Chris Penn in Footloose, chase graboids in Tremors and be within 6 degrees of everyone else on the planet.

    Hannah, survives, only just
    Copperfield, dies
    Alexander, dies
    Hanks, survives
    Clooney, dies
    Pitt, survives
    Lloyd, not sure
    Costner, survives
Mortensen, dies or seems to, but he’s the villain
Hunter, is only glimpsed but survives
    JJ Leigh, survives
Also James McAvoy and Isla Fisher die in The Pool.
Bill Paxton is the killer in Mortuary and is killed in the great Crazies variant Impulse, much better than either version of the Crazies. It also features Meg Tilly who survives it and Entity Force aka one Dark Night, a sort supernatural slasher variant.

Here are some more off the top of my head.
Paris Hilton: Nine Lives, dies (yah!)
    Sam Rockwell: Clownhouse, lives
Mark Ruffalo: Mirror Mirror 2, dies
    Willam Dufoe: The Hunger, lives

Also Death Wish has a young Jeff Goldblum in it, and he dies. More thriller than horror

Goldblum doesn’t get killed in DW, his character only serves as the catalyst to Paul Kersey’s vigilante tendencies.

Definitely not a horror but a slasher influenced thriller
Jim Carey basically playing Axl Rose is killed in The Dead Pool and the rest of Guns “n” Roses are in it before they were famous.

The death scenes in these movies lack the shock value. Do create the suspense though.
