McClane Jr. Cast For Die Hard 5

As he gets older, Bruce Willis seems to more and more resemble a baby, so it’s a real pity no one seems to have considered the possibility that Willis himself, via some nifty Tron: Legacy-style visual trickery, might have played the fruit of his own loins in the fifth Die Hard film, A Good Day to Die Hard. Ah, well. Australian actor Jai Courtney has instead been cast as John McClane’s son.
Previously best known for a role on TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Courtney apparently won the gig as Jack McClane after seeing off the challenge of his countryman Liam Hemsworth (younger brother of Chris; soon to be seen in The Hunger Games). Ben Foster and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul had also been considered as leading contenders to nab the coveted role.
Aside from a Russian setting, few plot details are known about A Good Day to Die Hard. Having said that, reports indicate Jack McClane has been written as the wayward son of poppa John, and that the antagonism between the two persists even when they are forced to team up to save the world. Or a building. Or a plane. Or Samuel L. Jackson’s corner shop. Or whatever it is that needs saving this time round.
Directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Max – nnghh – Payne), A Good Day to Die Hard is due for release on 14 February 2013.

He has a bit of the Willis about him.
Well I think he could pull it off.
If he can play in the grueling, brawling role of Sparticus, than he can definately play the role of John Mclain’s son.
