There’s been some Avengers 2 talk over recent weeks, so what has been said and what direction is the sequel likely to go in?
The Avengers is shaping up to be an enormous financial hit. After just two days at the foreign box office it’s taken $36 million and broken records, including the third biggest opening day in British history. In the US, it’s tracking at one and a half times the pre-sales of all other Marvel Studio movies – combined. Which means it’s going to open somewhere in the range of $160-200 million. Audiences have rated it an extremely high 9.0 on IMDB, and 96% of critics like it or love it. I’ve seen the movie, and it has a much higher rewatchability than other superhero adventures – expect significant repeat viewings after a huge opening.
All of which means a very large financial incentive to press forward on a sequel. So what can we expect from The Avengers 2? Firstly it will almost certainly add to the team. Stan Lee doesn’t have creative input but he’s said he’d like to see Black Panther, Dr. Strange or Ant-Man join up. There’s been an Ant-Man standalone movie in development for some time, and more recently a Dr. Strange movie is on the boil. Ant-Man and Wasp seem like very likely additions as they have been an almost permanent feature of Avengers comics in recent years. Don’t expect to see Spider-Man join though, as those movie rights are likely to stay at Sony for a considerable time.
Producer Kevin Feige is in creative charge of the movies and says that Marvel’s upcoming movies will fit together as another set of films leading up to the Avengers sequel. Iron Man 3 “will be the first of what we refer to as phase two of this saga, that will culminate in Avengers 2.” He also mentioned that a Dr. Strange movie could well fit into this second phase. All of which means that the Avengers follow-up won’t hit theaters until 2014 at the very earliest, with 2015 more likely.
Who will be the villain? **AVENGERS SPOILER** The Avengers end credit scene introduces us to Thanos, who smiles when he’s told that to attack Earth is to “court death”. Thanos in the comics is fascinated with death and nihilism. He kills millions on his home planet with nuclear bombardment before travelling to earth. He is capable of superhuman strength and can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy, enough to obliterate planets. His most famous storyline sees him gain possession of the Infinity Gauntlet, recently glimpsed in the Thor movie (in Odin’s trophy room). Each gem of that gauntlet grants its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the universe: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, or Power. We know that Thanos is not a villain in Iron Man 3, and appears unlikely for Thor 2. So it’s fairly safe to assume the set up is for the next Avengers movie. ** END SPOILER **

The key to the success of the first movie was that it was not cheesy. In order for the 2nd Avengers to be successful they need to keep it funny and action packed but not make it to cheesy. If they want to add another avenger. They should continue the theme of developing that character and giving them their own movie. Avengers was Amazing!!!
We would like to see Warmachine joining to the team, anyway you guys have the rights over this character, Vision could be another one since he belongs to the first avengers, for villians maybe Apocalypse could be a good one…
For more humor Spiderman should be added.

i think spiderman really should come into the avengers, he could be a great part, also black panther, dr strange, war machine and obviously keep the avengers from the first film. another avengers film would earn absolutely loads. there is another question though and that is that if they were to make a justice league movie would it be as bigger rival as the avengers or maybe bigger.

i do not know if they could bring in johnny storm because he is part of fantastic four and at the moment the man who played storm in fantastic four is now playing captain america so they would have to make the fantastic four franchise again
One I think Deadpool should make an appearance in the 2nd movie. Also the Fantastic 4 and Moon Knight should join in.

Avengers was awesome, the sequel has to be with thanos also black panther and ant man should be in it and with the waspt but all together that might be a little complicated, still it would be horribly and terrifical awesome! there has to be a sequel with the same characters as this one no doubt!
first off let me start by saying that i would have pissed my pants if they would have just used Edward Norton as The Hulk (even tho Eric Bana was the first, he’s too D’List). B, while we all know that it’s Thanos, the villain very much looked like Skrull. C, Chris Evans plays a better Human Torch than the Cap. so for lack of a better actor….throw Channing Tatum in the mix. now don”t laugh, but my daughter swore that Captain America was played by him anyways so why not? And i would LOVE to see The Thing and The Hulk have at it. and let’s try and save the X-Men for the second sequel or prequel just in case the next Avengers movie suck.

no spider-man, No Wolverine, Black Panther maybe. What about Ms Marvel. or Jack of hearts or the Vison or Wonderman. Think about it.
2nd film need to have alost for the heroes.

I think it will be Thanos and some how the red skull will play in. in addition to avengers antman and wasp, black panther, and visoin. If their movies are released first. can’t wait to see iron man 3 and thor 2 to see how they play out then u can have a better idea of who is in avengers 2. I see at least 3 or 4 avengers movies so more then enough time for spidey and wolverine to get in on it. should they have a hulk vs wolverine movie first? wat bout hulk vs thor? lol.
What about Apocalypse yall? Wouldn’t he give the Avengers a good fight.
This movie was awesome GREAT..best superhero action film ever so the next film has to be a step up.Adding new characters and some may be left out.BlackPanther,Antman and the Wasp should be in the next film.after all BlackPanther was the first ‘Black’ superhero on the Avengers so they should add him to the ranks.Blackwidow wasnt a member for a long time she was a spy and her and Hawkeye had a love affair,she left and he stayed with the AVENGERS..during that time when it was just GiantMan.The Wasp,Hawkeye and The BlackPanther, cause other members had left..then Ultron came into the picture along with the Synthazoid ‘THE VISION’ who was created to join the Avengers and kill them..but it didnt happen..The Vision turned on Ultron and he was defeated,and was accepted into the avengers ranks..all this in the 60′s .They can’t tell everything but The Avengers have a vast Membership..from Spider-Man to Wolverine and even STORM…she is a member now..read the books people,even DareDevil is a AVENGER.
After, they do a movie with Thanos in Avengers 2 and introducing Antman and the Wasp. Avengers 3, should consist of the Scarlet Witch, Vision, QuickSilver and Wonderman would be good additions. Every good movie needs a mixture of hot girls and people with distinct abilities. Wonderman and the Vision can be intially bad, due to the manipulation of the Grim Reaper and Ultron. As well, a second group composed of the Masters of Evil would be the Enchantress, Executioner, Greygargoyle, Absorbing man and Zemo will swing in favour of the bad guys. But Wonderman and the Vision will discover the truth and face their moral dilemna and help the Avengers. The Avengers will win, and at the end, in the background in space Immortus will decloak in his flagship for another sequel for Avengers 4.

You can’t over over do the cast members as there will not be enough screen time. Keep It Simple, Cap, Iron-man, Thor, Hulk, Black-widow, Hawkeye, then Possible Ant-man Wasp and the Black Panther

I don’t think they should add to many people but it would be cool to see Black Panther but they should bring back agent coulson I am still not Shure about what happend with happend with him.Dose anybody else know?
