Amazing Spider-Man: New Trailer & Posters

The Amazing Spider-Man - New Trailer
A brand spanking new ‘international’ trailer has been released for The Amazing Spider-Man!

The aptly-named director Mark Webb (500 Day Of Summer) takes the reins for this summer’s reboot of the massive Marvel franchise, with a lot of focus towards the loss of Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) parents – adding some weight to what would essentially be a rehashed origin story, which is great to see.

Shacked up with Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field), Peter crosses paths with Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) while trying to learned the truth about the death of his parents… add into the mix Peter being bitten by a radioactive spider, and we’ve got ourselves a Spider-Man movie.

There are also some teasing glimpses of the film’s villain The Lizard – who will hopefully go some way into blocking Spider-Man 3’s Venom out of our memories. But remember, this ain’t a sequel, it’s a reboot! Our favourite word!

Yahoo Movies have released two new posters too!

Too ordinary. After 3 spider-man movies in 10 years, just putting spider-man (or his logo) on a poster is not going to get people excited. But that’s all they’ve done in this campaign. We’ve already spent 3x2hours watching this imagery.

Bah…..same old same old. The trailer and the posters do nothing to inspire me, after Spider-man 3 I was done with the franchise and there is nothing here to lure me back in…..zzzzzz……zzzzzz

It doesn’t look good. I’ll see it because I’m a die hard spiderman fan. I didn’t think it would be good. They don’t have the right spiderman. The only person that I’ve seen that would play a good spiderman is Topher Grace. Eric Forman’s personality in that 70′s show is the right mix of nerd, cool and smart ass to be a good spiderman.
