Tarantino’s Django Unchained – First Pictures

Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained - Pictures
Still a long ol’ while to wait for Quentin Tarantino’s newie, revenge western Django Unchained – it’s not due to saunter into cinemas till 25 December this year. Probably a good thing then that the Weinstein Company is whetting the appetites of the Tarantacolytes out there by keeping up a steady drip of Django-tastic publicity materials; the newest such offering is the first two official pictures.

It was a fortnight ago that the first teaser poster was revealed for Django Unchained, but although some papped on-shot shots of the movie’s principals have previously surfaced, these are the first official shots of stars Jamie Foxx (as the eponymous freed slave Django) and Christoph Waltz (as German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz)…

Foxx has also been speaking a little about the movie, describing his character as Richard Roundtree meets Clint Eastwood. The Collateral actor has also elucidated his view of Django’s relationship with Waltz’s sharpshooter:

Christoph’s character is a little aloof to what slavery is. He’s not familiar with everything, and when he sees atrocities, it’s Greek to him. But Django lets him know this is the way the world is and we got to get used to it.

Are you looking forward to Django Unchained? Has Tarantino still got it, in your opinion? Let us know!

I like the look, and DiCaprio has some balls taking this role. But I swore I would never watch another Tarantino movie after Death Proof.

Will definetly see this film. Looks and sounds great. Agree with Sheridan though, Death Proof was a terrible attempt at a movie which belongs where its set…in the 80′s! It would have been alot more succesful had he released it when it was set. Hopefully hes coming back, still have faith in the man that changed cinema!!
