Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 – Trailer

Whatever happened to Debbie and Pete? Whaddya mean “Who?”?! Debbie and Pete! Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s characters from Knocked Up, that’s who! Yeah! Haven’t we all spent the five years since Knocked Up wondering just what those guys have been up to? On second thoughts, don’t answer that… well, asked for or not, a new movie about those characters is on the way, This Is 40, and a trailer has just been released for it.
This Is 40 has, like Knocked Up, been written and directed by Judd Apatow, for what is his first outing behind the camera since 2009’s Funny People. And there is, at this juncture, not a great deal more to say about Apatow’s new movie which cannot be infinitely better communicated by wrapping your peepers round the trailer. So do that then.
This Is 40 is out on December 21st in the US and UK.

The trailer isn’t funny. Why would Judd Apatow choose to direct a dull-looking movie that just so happens to give a starring role to his real-life wife?
Some mean person thumbed down your comment. I evened things up a bit.
Thanks man. I’ve got your back if you get negative thumbed.
I just re-watched the trailer for Apatow’s other movie about being forty, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and it’s so energetic, funny and charming by comparison.
Yeah, the trailer sucks. But I did LOVE their scenes in Knocked Up.
I wonder if the failure of The Five-Year Engagement will affect this release. They are for similar demographics, have a similar look and feel, and both have SH*TTY titles.
