The Expendables 2 Trailer
4.05.12 # Sequel # 4 Comments
Here’s one, what’s older – this steadily rotating globe on which we all stand, or the combined cast of The Expendables 2? But hold on! Before you break out your abacus to answer that poser, check out the trailer for the aforementioned Expendables sequel – a clip in which the sound of duff one-liners and bombastic explosions just about drown out the sound of creaking joints.
There really isn’t a great deal to say about this follow-up to The Expendables beyond that if you derive pleasure from Sylvester Stallone’s preposterous gargoyled-in-plastic fizzog and incomprehensible jabbering then this looks very much the movie for you.
Stallone is back from in this follow-up to his 2010 hit, as are his co-stars from that opener, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Stahtam, Randy Couture, Jet Li and Terry Crews. Also back are Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, both of whom have apparently been given expanded roles in this sequel – a point seemingly borne out by their Smart Car-bothering antics in the new trailer.
There are several ‘new’ faces too, in the weather-beaten shapes of Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme (on bad guy duties), as well as Liam Hemsworth, adding some possibly needed teen appeal. And then there’s Novak Djokavic. Mmm, that’s right. The Serb tennis ace reportedly puts in an appearance in Expendables 2. Why? Buddy, if you’re asking that question then you really don’t get what this movie’s all about…

Schwarzenegger already steals the movie.
It’s almost ‘funny grandpas’.
I liked the first movie, it was a fun nostalgia rush. I will certainly be seeing this.
This is THE movie an old-school action movie fan like me could dream of… turn-off brain and enjoy the next stallone story…
(by the way, just a hint: If you don’t know it yet, and if you like ol’skool style action movies, you MUST check out the movie “Stone Cold” (un-cut), directed by Michael Douglas. Just saw it. It got not too good critics, but this is not fair in my opinion. The movie is pure testosterone… with Brian Bosworth and Lance Henriksen in perfect roles.)
I also enjoyed the first one much more than I thought I would. But Chuck Norris?
He’s an 80s action icon, used to be totally badass when I was a kid. I think he deserves a slot. Liam Hemsworth on the other hand…
