Sony Pictures Animation are teaming up with Hasbro to bring an animated Tonka Trucks movie to our screens. Hasbro has already successfully brought Transformers and Battleship [erm - ed.] to our screens, and in addition to Tonka Trucks live action versions of the world-conquering challenge Risk and what they’re calling Lord of the Rings with confectionary, Candy Land are on the way.
It’ll be interesting to see how this movie takes shape. Presumably it’ll be a rival to Pixar’s lucrative Cars franchise, which is already getting to direct-to-DVD sequels and enjoyed financial success despite a lukewarm critical reception. We’re well past being in complete disbelief that toys without stories are being made into movies now, but what kind of story do you think they’ll use the brand for? Battleship got its aliens, could we be seeing trucks and ghosts maybe? Or just plain old Bob the Builder style construction work. Feverish speculation is sure to ensue in the coming months.

To answer your question I would guess that they will add monsters, since that evolves naturally out of monster trucks.
There’s no justice. All these so-called toy movies and nothing about Play Doh. All other toys are elitist and bourgeois tools of the capitalist hegemony. Play Doh is the peoples toy and can be made at home without kowtowing to corporate fascism

seriously? Tonka Trucks? r they trying to make a movie similar to Cars or something? i’m sorry but i don’t think they can make it as good as Cars…
as if battleship or whatever that idiot micheal bay is doing to TMNT is bad enough,now this crap. what a joke. whats next,a kardashians or jersey shore “reality” movie?
p.s. quit with the !@##ing CARS and TOY STORY sequels and bring back the INCREDIBLES already!
