Yeah, okay, so this has been online for a while now. But when it came down to a choice between posting the Jack Reacher trailer and this feast of kinetic bedlam, there could only be one winner. Roll on Russell Crowe and the RZA!

Directed and starring the Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, and also co-written by him and Eli Roth, the blood-soaked red band clip for this neo-martial arts epic comes over a lot like Curse of the Golden Flower meets Kill Bill: Volume 1. And it’ll also likely revive latent memories of brutal Playstation beat ‘em-up Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain in gamers of a certain age.

The Man with the Iron Fists finds RZA playing an escaped slave who becomes a blacksmith in imperial China (and also apparently serves as the movie’s narrator), while Russell Crowe improbably but brilliantly features as a knife-fighting loner named Jack.

The movie also stars Kill Bill alumnus Lucy Liu as a brothel madam, and Jackie Brown herself, Pam Grier, cameos as mom of the RZA’s character. Oh, and ex-WWE lug-head Batista crops up as ‘Brass Body’, a character seemingly capable of turning himself into the Molten Man from Marvel Comics.

The Man with the Iron Fists will hit theatres sometime later this year. When? Listen, I already told you – later!
