It’s been a while since Jim Carrey has had a major and memorable role (I’m gonna say 8 years), but there’s no denying his superstar status, and he’s set to lend his appeal to the little superhero franchise that could: Mark Millar’s Kick-Ass. The forthcoming sequel revisits the titular powerless teen hero and the scene-stealing Hit-Girl as they face a world now populated by a few more costumed crusaders.
Taking over from Matthew Vaughn, director Jeff Wadlow will be bringing Jim Carrey to the Kick-Ass universe in the form of Colonel Stars, a bad guy gone good who founds a team known as Justice Forever. The heavy hints were dropped on Twitter:

Seems like good casting to me, depends which Jim Carrey we get.
