New Hulk Movie On The Way?

Green giant will reportedly get fired into space at the end of Avengers 2.
The first two attempts at a Hulk movie might have disappointed, but since Mark Ruffalo breathed new life into the Bruce Banner role in Avengers, there’s word that Marvel Studios wants to give the big guy another solo outing.
According to Latino Review, Marvel wants to adapt the 2006 comic story Planet Hulk – which sees Hulky getting fired into space – in the second Avengers movie.
The site claims that Avengers 2 will include a post-credit sequence that bridges it to a standalone Hulk movie, with Bruce getting launched star-ward after he’s deemed too dangerous for planet Earth.
The solo movie will see Hulk off to wreak havoc on the alien planet of Sakaar, based on the Planet Hulk comic storyline. This will then link to Avengers 3, where Hulk will bring his new pals to Earth to take revenge. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a cheeky little link to Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, too.
Take all of this with a pinch of salt – nothing has been confirmed – but it’s a plausible direction for the series to go. And after Ruffalo’s brilliant turn as the green giant in Avengers, we’d love to see him have a crack at going solo. Third time’s a charm, eh?
Avengers 2 hits UK screens May 1 2015.

This seems extremely likely to me. Thanos as a villain will mean Avengers 2 is space-based at least in part. Planet Hulk is one of the most, if not the most, popular Hulk storylines, the previous two Hulk movies haven’t really broken out at the box office and they’re looking for a fresh direction. Add to that they’re conspicuously not making another Hulk movie before Avengers 2 despite the character being many’s favourite from the first ensemble.
Well maybe he’ll see Crack A Jack Johnson or _The Shaper of Worlds_ out there too (from issue 191)
I don’t like this idea at all. They work really hard to make him look good on screen as a HERO and now suddenly they want to make him a villain for the third avengers? For people whose favorite hero is the hulk, like me, this is possibly one of, if not the last thing that fans of the hulk would want to see. Don’t like it one bit.
I would have to agree with that one, also it’s abit far off to think of a third AVENGERS movie.
I agree with josh. But i doubt it will be a straight adaption of planet hulk. i only says this because they already made it as an animated movie. they might take elements from that story, but thats it.
