Michael Caine Joins Chris Nolan’s Interstellar5.05.13 # News # 2 Comments
In a piece of news that’s both exciting and unsurprising in equal measure, Michael Caine has joined the case of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
He joins Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. Caine has previously appeared in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Prestige and Inception, making him a reliable favourite of Nolan’s – with Interstellar marking his sixth project with the director.
Given Chris Nolan’s tendency to keep tight-lipped about his work, we have no idea who Caine will be playing. All the details are currently being kept secure in the Nolan brothers’ Fort Knox.
However, we do know that the plot of Interstellar will deal with a group of explorers using worm holes for time travel, which Nolan, always one for big concept ideas, should have no problem getting his teeth stuck into.
The film is based on an idea originally sparked by Steven Spielberg. Jonathan Nolan then proceeded to write a script which Christopher then rewrote – and will now direct.
Interstellar will start shooting later this year, aiming for a November 2014 release.
