It’s got it all; swearing, naked women, and the sort of crazy things you’d find on a Maxim DVD.
This time round the brilliantly-named Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) faces a Chinese mobster who’s stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working. I think that might also be the plot of Milk.
Crank 2: High Voltage is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Last year they wrote and produced Pathology, which barely found a release. This year they have two directed movies coming out, Gerard Butler action flick Game on September 4th, and this on April 17th.
They presumably shot Crank 2 very quickly, it sure looks like they shot it very quickly.
The first Crank got a great reception from its target audience. Hopefully this will deliver more of the same, and remember to throw in a bit of character and depth with the attempts to shock. Pun intended.

I can’t believe the movies Statham is willing to make… In the Name of the King, now this…?
I liked the first one, but at best this looks like a B flick or a fan made movie. The production value kinda sucks, it looks like they used a 200$ camera the whole time. Yea tits, violence, goar and Amy Smart getting naked/nailed is cool and all, but it doesn’t make this a good film… lol I’ll watch it when it comes out to dvd, which by the looks of it won’t be that long prolly.
