Street Fighter: Legend Of Chun-Li - Poster

If at first you don’t succeed, reboot. And give it a poster better suited to a dance movie:

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li stars Kristen ‘Smallville’ Kreuk as heroine Chung-Li, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog the boxer, Black Eyed Pea rapper Taboo as Spaniard Vega, Neal ‘Desperate Housewives’ McDonough as the evil M. Bison, and Chris Klein as Nash. Interesting line up, huh?

The movie focuses on Chung-Li’s personal quest for justice, and marks the second live action movie based on the popular Street Fighter video games. The first was written and directed by Steven E. de Souza (Judge Dread), and was released in 1994 starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, and Kylie Minogue.

The new Street Fighter is directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, the man behind Romeo Must Die, and is set to be released this March.

In case you missed it, here’s the eyebrow raising Japanese teaser trailer:

I didn’t know Chun Li was able to throw energy balls, maybe she went to the same school as Ryu and Ken…

I was just wondering if there would be a continuation of this movie concidering that they left a hint at the end about a tournement. I see that some of you diehard video game players prefer the first street fighter movie with van damme but as for me I totally enjoyed this one. its a little more believable. I liked duncan as bullrog. I also liked gen. vega was kind of short lived but not one of my favorites. and they went more into the bison character.
