The size of Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans’ release shows just how much faith Lakeshore have in this franchise. Indeed Rise Of The Lycans has scored the best critical reaction of any of the movies in the Underworld series. Underworld 4 is very much on the minds of producers, so where would the franchise go from here? And what’s this about an Underworld TV series?
Patrick Tatopoulos (director of Rise Of The Lycans) has revealed Len Wiseman (helmer of the first two movies and producer of the third) “has a concept of what the next film will be.” Rise Of The Lycans ends with the opening scene of the first Underworld, accompanied by the audio of Kraven telling Selene the truth about Viktor and her family’s murders. With the series now so open, where would Underworld 4 land in the timeline? During production of the third movie, the head of Lakeshore Entertainment was very clear, Underworld 4 “would carry on where Kate and Scott Speedman left off after 2″.
That would seem to depend on Kate Beckinsale. You always get the sense she feels she’s ‘slumming it’ by being in the Underworld movies, but weigh that against the fact that Len Wiseman, likely producer and possible director of an Underworld 4, is her husband.
And what about the potential Underworld TV series? On the red carpet this week, Len Wiseman revealed “There’s a lot of talk about a television series, Im looking into that, if I could be very involved and can be a certain way, I’d be very interested. …It’s kind of open, if people can join us and go back in time – and then leap forward, I’d like to go jump all across the time line.” Expect that to cover several eras then.

Geez, you know everything don’t you? What is the meaning of life lol?
I read most comments and totally agree with Nikki I would like to see more of Alexander.. and the birth of his (three) sons. What happened to the third one? I understand that he had more children and what not..but how did he (or she) feel about having a werewolf and a vampire for brothers.
- Explore the fact that Selene is now a daywalker. And what that means for the Vampire race. Would they hunt her down to try to get her blood since she has the blood of Alexander Corvinus running through her blood.
- Explore the possibility of Michael and Selene having children. (obviously she’s pregnant…look at Lucien and Sonya)
- Anything that shows more Amelia would be fabulous. Who made her exactly…Marcus or Viktor. Why is she so important..what made them choose her to rule alongside them. Why wasn’t she as bad ass as Viktor. (Remember when Viktor killed Raze, with a simple snap to the neck)
- Kraven’s origins. And the alliance between him and Lucien.
- Perhaps another story altogether of Selene during her hundred years without Viktor. (She was made at the tail end of his reign)
There are 1400 years worth of Underworld. There are a number of possibilities for an Underworld 4..or even a television series. (The first movie states that one has ruled while two have slept for 14 centuries.)

I was just on imdb.com and was viewing the profile for the newest movie. What the HELL kind of movie is this going to be?!? I don’t see Scott’s name on the list of cast members and I don’t see Patrick’s name ANYWHERE on the list of crew members!!! Don’t get me wrong…I really like these movies (hell, I even got my hair done like Selene’s), but if either of them are not involved, I don’t know. I will have to rethink about going to see the new one or not. Yes, I am Team Lucian, but still, don’t screw with these kinds of movies ya, know?

omg i completely agree with you. im already aware that kate is still selene but if scott speedman and the other original roles are different and played by some crumby actors i cant guarante
that i will feel the same way about the whole thing like i do now. and im sorry but a tv series… that would so ruin it.

Man if there was going to be an Underworld 4 I would definately watch it ^^. Vampires (NOT twilight’s crappy kind) are just amazing. And I think the good looking kind, but bad ass ones, are the best. Especially when they don’t sparkle.
The creepy ugly monsters from back in the day are of course always the origional vamps and have their own special place in vampire lovers’ hearts and they will be remembered. But it’s the 20th century, we need smexy vamps out in the open for people like me to drool over ^_^.
So for the movie I think a good sex scene of course but don’t make the whole damn movie a porno, Lol. Also I think I might want to learn more about the older vamps or see Selene take over a covan of her own and combine them and the Lycans into one. Which after seeing Rise of the Lycans I fell for the wolves (liked them in the first place but even more so now that I have their story).
Or they could at least be friends or something.
Oh or they have to join forces to beat the hell out of another race or something. Like evil bunnies from hell. Lmao just kidding on the bunnies but yeah a whole new bad ass race would be awsome.
As for the TV series it depends on if it will be real people or a cartoonish looking kind of thing. Either would be cool but I’m all for it. Just make it so the story line and stuff makes sense when watching the series. Also make them available on DVD ^^.
The underworld series is the best series ever. i think that going back into time was a really good idea. It showed me a lot that the flashbacks could not quite explain that well. I would like if they did one more prequel, to show the war in the time, when Kraven fakedly murdered Lucien. As for the sequel, i cannot wait till it comes out, and hope that it is in 3d. if you ask me, I say definitely don’t do nothing like have the humans discover the races and start a war. that would look pathetic. I like the idea of Viktor coming back to life, or that black werewolf gathering all tyhe werewolf tribes to go after Selene. Definitely bring back Speedman and beckinsale. they are perfect for the roles, and getting rid of either or both would make the movie look strange and you will definitely lose fans. It would also be cool to bring back to life that women elder who died on the train on tyhe first one, because seeing her in the beginning of the second one, she looked both hot and awesome.
i want to see lucian come back to life from the lab where alexander corvinus checked on…in one way or another …michael sheen is the soul of the movie and the story with sonja is amazing … too bad he dies in part 1 .but part 3 shows the hero he is with all respect to selene ..if it wasnt for alexander corvinus;s blood …marcos would’ve kicked her ass .big time ..underworld 4 should be a surprise ,,full for heros .. please dont make it a love story anymore … we dont need kisses and hugs ..we need wars .. returnings ..blood..moon..shadows,,if u dont do that ,, it’ll end like twilight ,,,hope not … lycans rule …

all i want from underworld awakening, is to see scott speedman and kate beckinsales’ character together and safe. i swear if they cut him from the movei or he isnt in it i will be done with underworld and i dont think i would bea alone.
I LOVE the underworld series. I mean I love it so much. I will love to see many more underworld movies. As many they can make. There is so much story that can be told that this franchise could turn out to have more releases than harry potter, and that’s a lot. I love it that much. I, and many other underworld fans would support what ever len wiseman and the other producers do with this franchise. I am all for a more movies, a tv series, hell I’ll even watch an animated series, but stay true to the story. Now. I would like to see everyone’s story told. There is so much to be done. I love Kate beckinsale, and I hope that she will do 2 or 3 more movies, but personally I, and all true underworld fans will support anything underworld. With or without Kate. In the 3rd movie, I honestly did not miss her in that movie, and I fell that they should make at least 2 more movies before continuing with Kate and michaels story. There’s so much story to tell. Now don’t get me wrong, what ever direction they went in for underworld 4 is fine with me. I’ll be at the theater 3 or 4 times to see it, I would just like to see them tell the stories of everyone else also. Alexander corvinus and his three sons. Comfort, amelia and their beginnings. Kravin’s history. Much more of lucians story, and so much more.
#4 is ok, and I understand where they might be going. #5 should bring back Michael and explore Michael’s adaptations to the fullest. He should have learned to be as, if not more than Selene. He should be a force to be dealt with and something humans fear. There should be a controversy that he still does not accept his fate as a hybrid (he does not want to feed on humans). When dealing with vampire and lycan he is a natural, claiming his authority without hesitation. With Selene and his child, he slowly, although hesitantly realizes he must survive as a hybrid and must lead the elevation of BOTH species. Any ideas anyone.
after seeing the 4th movie which I thought was good. but I was disapointed that Eve and Selene were not reunited with Michael at the end of the movie. so I would like to see Selene and Michael reunited and Michael getting to meet his daughter. they cannot let the series end like this

I’m so looking forward to a fifth installment.
This is definitely my favorite series when it comes to vampires and lycans. And I’m expecting more Underworld films to come in the future.
The story of the series lasts for over a millenium, so there’s really a lot more to explore, especially for the prequels.
What about giving us more about the Corvinus clan, the beginning of the vampires and werewolves? Tell us more about Alexander, Marcus, William…with the title “Underworld: Origin”, maybe?
And let us see more history about Selene—-the time when she got turned into a vampire, given the strength to avenge her family against the lycans, and how she spent nearly 6 centuries hunting them down and killing them off one by one… That would be a great story to tell!
How about telling more stories of Lucian, showing his experience after the event of “Rise of the Lycans”?
And, give us more about Amelia! The only FEMALE VAMPIRE ELDER portrayed by Zita Gorog is pretty awesome, yet we know so little about her. Prequels could have the chance to bring her back!

“This is a new war…”—-Future Prospects of “Underworld 5” background settings and characters

The world is different now. Humans are aware of vampire and lycan’s existence, and have massacred both species to the verge of extinction. But things didn’t turn out to be as they had seemed, as a dark conspiracy was revealed in the crescendo of “Underworld: Awakening”. In the end, Jacob Lane and his son Quint were destroyed.
A new legend, “Underworld 5”, will continue with where the last tale left off:
After the old enemies fell, new ones are bound to come to power. There must be a lot more lycans still, hidden in large entities like Antigen, lurking within human society as high officials, like those who appeared at Jacob Lane’s meeting, discussing plans of inoculation.
The world is actually taken over by lycans. And to keep it that way the ferocious creatures will do whatever it takes, looking for further means of evolution by trying to finish what Jacob Lane and his son Quint started. Just like Selene narrated, “The lycans will regroup, and will hunt for her father (Michael) as they did for her (Eve)…”
“But as they grow stronger, so will we.”
While the lycans could manufacture vaccines to enhance themselves, perhaps in the new story, the vampires could do the same by synthesizing the serum that allows them to survive sunlight with the help of Selene and Eve’s blood? Maybe? “Get Olivia at once!”
Something is for sure. In the following sequel, the story will definitely concentrate on Selene and Eve looking for Michael, her lover and the girl’s father. And during the journey, they are bound to face a lot of new vicious lycan enemies that will arise.
Characters:
David, the brave vampire warrior, will surely join the heroines in the battle. He might make a great companion for them, especially for Eve.
Detective Sebastian, the human who aided Selene, is likely to return. At the end of “Underworld: Awakening”, he said, “Selene. You should go. I’ll send them on a different path, buy you some time.” The guy will probably continue to help Selene fight against the lycans, thus putting himself in danger. He had always had suspicions—-“Just a feeling”—- that lycans still existed after the cleansing. Now he’s known a lot more truth about Antigen, and what Jacob Lane were up to. Once the other lycans figure out what is on his mind, they will surely take steps to silence the detective, just like they did to a friend of his who were found assassinated. Besides, as a human being, the man is no match for vampires or lycans, and cannot be safe for long. His best chance of survival against the lycans would be Selene turning him into a vampire. It would also be great if he makes it to the last as a human.
Thomas, the new coven’s vampire elder, David’s father, who has prudently insisted that they should run and hide for fear of extinction, will very possibly show up again. Being a coward, he will sooner or later be doomed in the war that is going on, either by humans or by lycans. Just like David said, “If we continue to live as we do now, then we disgrace the past and do not deserve a future.” However, after the event of “Underworld: Awakening”, being reminded of a time when the vampires “could defend themselves with fire and steel…”, the vampire elder will most probably rise, “stand and fight” , as Selene narrated, “The vampire coven will not only survive this world. We will reclaim it.”
Eve, “the only hybrid child that has ever existed”, who possesses the greatest potential, will use her telepathic connection with her parents to try to locate her father, and through the process she will encounter threat and danger, and will probably change her white laboratory clothing into a tight black warrior outfit, just like her mother, fiercely battle in the bloodstorm that is coming, and maybe fall in love…
And, Michael, an important one. In the following storyline, there should be a lot of things to tell about the missing hybrid father who is unaware of having a daughter, about how he’s going to face the new world of danger and fight against the lycans that will try to hunt for him, how he’s going to react when he reunites with Selene and realizes everything that has happened, and how the magnificent family of three will make their journey to the ultimate freedom.
As for Selene, the goddess herself, she will, always and forever, be the rose blooming in the darkness of the night.
