Uwe Boll’s Epic Next Project: Improv!

Uwe Boll Thumbs UpThe legendary director Uwe Boll is set to knock his critics for six – and this time he’s not going to deck them into submission.

The hyper-genius is taking aim with a brand new film containing fully improvised dialogue, based on a true story. Stoic is the compelling tale of three German men arrested in 2006 for nonviolent crimes only to end up raping and torturing a cellmate for ten hours, before hanging him to hide their crime. Apologies for ruining the ending, there.

“It all started with a game of poker, where the loser had to eat a tube of toothpaste,” sayeth Boll “He refused and was forced to eat it, threw up and was forced to eat his puke, and things escalated from there.” Wonderful stuff.

The actors involved, Edward Furlong (American History X, The Crow: Wicked Prayer), Shaun Sipos (Final Destination 2, The Grudge 2), Sam Levinson (Toys, Bandits) and Steffen Mennekes (Postal, Bloodrayne II: Deliverence) will be completely improvising their dialogue, based off a treatment written by the good doctor himself.

And right after this cinematic treat is Janjaweed, another improvised film based on a treatment by Genius Doctor Uwe Boll. The film will centre around the genocides in the Sudan and the American journalists torn between trying to help the victims, or reporting the story.

You might think this is perhaps a strnage new direction for the “f**king genius” Boll, but, in his own words: “What can I lose? I got so bashed for my video game adaptations I don’t care anymore.” Gold.

By the way, the Petition to stop him making movies is still going strong. A quarter of the way there… tell your friends.

I don’t think it’s worth the energy to say it but – this is a terrible idea.

What he needs to do is not have LESS script, but use the money he raises to hire a quality screenwriter. If its a great script it’s going to be much harder for him to balls it up.

Really? I suggest you turn your many eyes to this article:

Even with an actual scriptwriter doing the goods for “Alone in the Dark”, he managed to dick it up.

Still, he makes for fascinating viewing. He’s truly a human car crash.
