Yesterday Paramount announced that the next installment of the Transformers franchise would hit the theatres on July 1st 2011. Well it turns out that (to quote Cool Hand Luke) “what we have here is failure to communicate”. It seems that the studios think they settled on that date but Bay thinks they settled on a completely different date.

Wait a minute! I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 – they asked me on the phone – I said yes to July 4 – but for 2012 – whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots.
So it looks like we’ll have to hold our breath until 2012 for our next dose of giant robots turning into stuff and/or beating the circuits out of one-another. It’s possible that the studio might hold Bay to their agreed upon date, though it sounds like there is nothing in writing so it seems unlikely.
UPDATE: Bay has now agreed to go with the studio’s choice – Transformers 3 will officially be released 29th June 2011. With some 3D and IMAX screenings from 9pm on 28th June. That’s final.
Transformers movie coming out in 2012 that sucks so much, to long for movies coming who knows if we will live long enough to catch the flick. I think someone should break into the place that has all the movies that are soon to be realsed and bootleg them so the company makes no money all for being jerks and making us wait!

Since u seem to be like 12 yo and dont know what he’s talkin about let me inlightin you, Dec 21 2012 is the the date @ which its claimed the world will end, or at least change, i personally dont think it will be the end of the world BUT i do belive sumthing is going to happen, im not going to try to explain my theory on a post, but u can google search 2012 and read up on it or better yet get sum old scripts and research it yourself, something will happen if its what has been thought by others well then u might very well not live long enough to see the movie. and i would also like to point out that i am atheist. but you should consult your bible if your cristain becuz it also speaks of this if u read carefully.
Brandon, what the hell are you babbling about. First of all I really don’t think Big Ray was refering to ancient Mayan prophecy, he was suggesting that 3 years was such a long time to wait he might pass away in the mean time. Something that might be a concern if you were 75 years old. Secondly I was brought up a Christian and studied Theology at university and there is nothing in there about the world ending in 2012.

Shia Labouf and Megan Fox are really good actresses and actors. anyway i would love to see the 3rd transformers

you guys have no idea what you are saying about the end of the world and you are looking over the fact that the world will end (suposedly) ON dECEMBER 21 2012 AND Bay said that the movie would come out on July 4 2012 so we would be able to see and probally own it on Blue Ray by then.

Transformers 3 Release Dates is no longer set for 2012. Even though that’s what Michael Bay Originally said, it is no longer true.
Michael Bay Released the Official Release Date as being in 2011. I found this information at wwww.michael-bay.com or more specifically
It’s interesting that director Michael Bay changed his mind. He originally said there would be no chance of a 2011 release date.
