Prep yourself for Fast And Furious 5. The first three Fast And Furious movies took a massive $601m theatrically worldwide. Even Tokyo Drift made $158m, with no known actors, and with all the stars back for the fourth movie, it’s practically guarenteed to make bank. The ending of this latest installment is left wide open for a sequel. Here’s what we know about The Fast And The Furious 5…
Star Paul Walker said this week, “I’ve spoken with executives at Universal at this point and they’re pretty serious about it. They’re developing it. They know where they want it to take place. They want to do it in Europe.”
Would Walker be a part of it? “I don’t know,” he said. “I’d really want to put time into it. I don’t think it’d be too hard to make the best one yet. I don’t think the best one has been made yet. If we were to go make a 5th one it would be the best one. Otherwise let’s not do it.”
Originally the 4th movie was only meant to have Vin Diesel in it, Walker was asked back late in the day, and it’s Diesel who sounds much keener to do another. “I know Vin is in there already [thinking about the script],” says his co-star.
Diesel explains he originally wanted to make the 4th and 5th films back to back “but [Universal] was like, ‘What? We’re just getting our feet back together…’” Diesel was allowed to direct an 18 minute short film set in the Fast And Furious world, which will be available on the DVD.
Update (4/16/09) – Now the film has been released and is a huge financial success, Paul Walker is sounding much more certain about coming back, he also adds that the studio is now leaning toward Brazil for the next one. That’s not to say Europe wouldn’t come after that.

I really hope they decide to do this new one. the fourth filled in a lot of holes that the first,second and third left for me. i love these movies. And hope they continue to make them for all the fans
OMG, cant effing wait to be amazed by Paul Walker not being a tool!
i think having it in europe would attractive even more fans but i think if they r goin to have a 5th movie it should hav all the same cast and not just vin alone or that would make it just like the 2nd movie which wasnt comparable to how good the 1st one was
ooh…not sure about this, the dynamic will be all wrong considering what happens with paul walker’s character.
well… i think they should keep going regardless of what the characters turned out to be. Also I agree that they should have all the characters back for the 5th. I just hope they make a 5th.
I want Fast & Furious 5.
But the fifth movie needs to be more intersting than the other movies.

THINK THEY ALL NEED TO COME BACK! it just wont be the same without Paul. Vin and Paul have amazing chemistry together plus their brother vibe is awasom. the way i think they need to start it off with them breaking out Dom. it would also be awasom if they bring back Letty ( rest in peace girl we love you). ive been thinking that sincethe facts that Letty was undercover F.B.I and that we don’t see a body….and they made a point of showing Vin Diesel’s ‘imagining’ of how Letty died is somthing that makes everyone wonder. the funeral part could of been simply to trap Dom. Brian wouldnt know that because he probally was not clued in on the FBI’s plans. they could simply be holding her and the moment that they sentence Dom they could relase her or she like break out or somthing. either way they need to have everyone back! it would be really bad if they kill off anyone at this point, and what i mean at this point is they cant kill of Dom, Brian, nor Mea. if they do that it would be so messed up and it would ruin the movie.
I think making a fith one in europe would be pretty awesome.. its about time they started putting real cars in these movies besides japaneese cars… euros rule!!

I’m siked for a 5th Fast and Furious but if there was some way they could bring Letty back I would be even more excited to see a fifth installment! Dom and Letty are my favorite couple and it sucked that she died. LOL I say they pull a chapter out of a soap opera and somehow spin it so that she didn’t really die. Yep, i’d def pay to see that!
As long as Ms. Brewster is appearing in the movie, I’m game! I’d love to see a bit of highway racing through Europe in some higher-end cars, but even then their street cars are pretty kickin’ too. A tricked-out BMW M5, Lotus Elise, perhaps a Maserati or a spankin’ new Ariel Atom. Why not? Europe is somewhat different from the rest of the world, an outrageously different car should be able to appear in the new movie. If not that, then maybe a Shelby GR-1? Last thing I’d want to see is a bunch of Smart cars racing through the streets at 40mph.

ok…pt 4 WAS AWESOME! Didnt care for 2 or 3!
But it just shows that more fans like Vin Diesel and paul walker together! Those two are just like peanut butter and jelly…it wouldnt be a sandwich if they werent in it together…lol !
seriously tho movie was great, didnt care about the 25 yrs to life thing….goes to show you that makin a “deal” is never worth it!
In pt 5 they need to have Diesel and walker return….or it wont be “right”
And what about Eminem co starring as walkers brother or something…that sh*t would be sweet!

I havn’t seen Fast and Furious yet but I do know that Letty dies. I think if they are going to make another one they should bring her back one way or another. And also give her a bigger part Michelle Rodriguez has alot of attitude and talent that can be used to make these movies great.
well it should definitely keep on following the story line were the 4th leaves off….and the 4th was good cause it was action from begining to end but the 5th should definitely involve more racing cause thats what fast & furious is about in the first place and what about the other 2 characters from the first movie what ever happen to them guys u know the one with the yellow skyline and the one with the blue maxima!
I think it should show how he got to tokyo and show how he beat everyone in asia in drifting…. because at the end of tokyo drift it talks about how he beat everyone and how he wanted to race the drift king…
