Prep yourself for Fast And Furious 5. The first three Fast And Furious movies took a massive $601m theatrically worldwide. Even Tokyo Drift made $158m, with no known actors, and with all the stars back for the fourth movie, it’s practically guarenteed to make bank. The ending of this latest installment is left wide open for a sequel. Here’s what we know about The Fast And The Furious 5…
Star Paul Walker said this week, “I’ve spoken with executives at Universal at this point and they’re pretty serious about it. They’re developing it. They know where they want it to take place. They want to do it in Europe.”
Would Walker be a part of it? “I don’t know,” he said. “I’d really want to put time into it. I don’t think it’d be too hard to make the best one yet. I don’t think the best one has been made yet. If we were to go make a 5th one it would be the best one. Otherwise let’s not do it.”
Originally the 4th movie was only meant to have Vin Diesel in it, Walker was asked back late in the day, and it’s Diesel who sounds much keener to do another. “I know Vin is in there already [thinking about the script],” says his co-star.
Diesel explains he originally wanted to make the 4th and 5th films back to back “but [Universal] was like, ‘What? We’re just getting our feet back together…'” Diesel was allowed to direct an 18 minute short film set in the Fast And Furious world, which will be available on the DVD.
Update (4/16/09) – Now the film has been released and is a huge financial success, Paul Walker is sounding much more certain about coming back, he also adds that the studio is now leaning toward Brazil for the next one. That’s not to say Europe wouldn’t come after that.

well the 4th one was pullin them all back 2gether so i think its just natural for all of the cast 2 come back and sumhow join up w/the guy from tokyo drift…
I loved that Dom was back. I too agree Walker and Deisel are great together. They do need to show how they break Dom out of Jail and keep Mia in. I also think it’s an excellent Idea to bring Letty back!!!And all the muscle cars too. Loved that deisel only drove the muscle cars in the 4th.Maybe if they try to have all the drivers from all 4 shows get together that would be awsome.
i think that number 5 should have every cast member in it including Tokyo drifts characters minutes the cast members that have been killed. Letey and Han, but otherwise everyone else should come together because in Tokyo drift at the end you see Shawn about to race Dom but we need a follow up
i dont think they should go to toyko. no offense or anything but to me toyko drift wasnt that good. the reacing was awasom but the acting was horrible ( except for Han and Vin when he came in that the end which was a shoker for me) i really just want them to stick with the orginal cast from the first movie. the two people tat one of you metioned that was missing werent. Vince died at the end of the first one, he didnt make it and the guy that helped Letty after her wreck in the first one was in the new one. he was the guy that Dom talked to in the guarge. As long as they bring back Letty and keep the orginal cast and continue where they left off on the last movie i will be happy.i really wanna see how they get Dom off that prision bus.
i really like all of these movies. I hope they have a 5th one and it takes place in europe because i want to see them having some ferraris and lambos doing 220mph racing.
Sounds Awesome!! I hope Paul Walker and Vin Diesel do come back and also Tyrese. It would also be cool Lucus Black and Jordana Brewster, Those five Deffinetly. Having Lucus transferring to Europe and Vin, Paul, and Jordana Meet Tyrese there and those five do….(and this is where the writers come in)!!

I think that is should shoot off where the 4th ended and that yeah taking it to europe may be a good idea to have the begining of the 5th them running a little and trying to keep from the police with the same amount of action as the 4th. but i think that there should be a little more at steak this time, what would be really cool is if walker and doms sister would end up having a baby and that would be a good reason for them all to go over to europe to get away from the police. i was anticipating her to tell him that she was preg when they met up again but thats all good.
i think it would be awesome to bring letty back. Like someone previously said, we never saw a body. The whole time I was expecting her to come back. The way the FBI was at the funeral looking for Dom and everything, it just looked like a setup. it would be incredibly easy to have her come back and just say like she was forced by the FBI to leave the country or just somethin. and this time, they need to have Mia as one of the racers!

to the comment about Mea getting preg, uh no that wouldnt be cool but for her to start racing and going with Dom and the gang ( being part of the action) i would love to see that.
okay at the end of 4 we have dom,brian and mia but if they r to make a 5 which would be awesome they need a few more key elements
#1 letty needs to come back as she has great attitude for this style of movie
#2 explain that vince died and what happened to leon
#3 tie in tyreses character even if it is only a cameo they need him to tie it all together
#4 and i cant stress this enough bring letty back

I think Paul Walker should have more scenes. Paul and Vin Should be 50-50, and so does the other characters. Everyone should have their moment.
It should take off riqht after the 4th one, when the jacked Dom from the prison bus. Also if somehow please they could brinq back Letty ? I think killing her off was just disappointing alot of fans, such as me, and also losing alot of fans. They never showed her body, so her death was never verified. please brinq her back. and more racinq defintly!!
