The first teaser poster for the upcoming Terminator sequel popped up at the New York Licensing Expo, and MTV Movies Blog has posted the first look.

It’s a nice image, though pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a poster for a Terminator film. The “Becoming Self-Aware Memorial Day 2009″ tagline is a nice touch.

The poster will start showing up in movie theaters July 18th, which coincidentally enough is when the first teaser trailer is due to premiere in front of The Dark Knight. Because it’s nice to *finally* have a reason to be excited about that film opening, right?

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins opens in theaters May 22nd 2009.
