Composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, who scored Batman Begins, have returned for The Dark Knight soundtrack. Their work on the first movie was grand, epic, tragic and, most of all, distinctive. I don’t know about you, but I’ve grown out of Danny Elman’s scores, and I’m glad Batman has too.

Zimmer has said “The Joker definitely has his own theme and it’s the complete opposite of elegant. It’s very provocative and very raw… Harvey Dent goes from extraordinarily elegant to the depths of despair.”
