The trailer for Lars Von Trier’s (Dogville, The Idiots) Antichrist has just been released. It’s difficult to gather what exactly is going on in it but there’s definitely some creepy imagery, and Willem Dafoe.

A grieving couple retreats to their cabin ‘Eden’ in the woods, hoping to repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But nature takes its course and things go from bad to worse.

So is it a man vs. nature thing? Or does one of them go insane? Well, we don’t know yet, and the trailer isn’t much help. I am a fan of Von Trier’s work; often their starkness gives them a creepy quality even when they are not technically horror so he should be suited perfectly for this genre.
