By James Roland (of 2AM Critics fame)
Welcomed to Comic-Con on Saturday, the biggest day of the event. In line by 7am, doors open at 9am, all for the Terminator panel … which starts at 1pm.
*sigh*
I’ll have to sit through the panels on Lost and Heroes, so I’ll post on those as well, but the real gems will be Terminator: Salvation and the Disney/Pixar panel.
Hope you enjoy, and keep checking back for more updates!
*SPOILERS*
Sorry, couldn’t film, wasn’t allowed.
Heroes is back, and I’ve never really been a fan of the silly VFX and horrible, endless dialog.
But I have to admit, the season 3 opener was pretty damn good.
Forgive me, but I don’t know character names.
The dude that steals everyone’s powers? Yeah, he’s back, and he steals the Cheerleader’s powers and tells her she’s immortal. so no HE’S immortal.
The brothers, the politician and the skinny moppish dude? Well, the younger one goes back in time and assasinates his own brother. Yeah, it’s weird. And in the future they’re all villains instead of Heroes, hence this season’s subtitle.
Oh, and Hiro goes into the future and sees his best friend murder him with a kick-ass Mortal Combat move.
So there you have it. Go buy the DVDs and give NBC/Universal some money.
What struck me most about the LOST panel was just how much they CANNOT reveal, given the nature of the show. I snagged some footage that I will try and edit later, but basically it’s them going “Sorry, can’t tell you that.”
They DO reveal that, instead of flashbacks and flashforwards, a NEW storytelling device will be implimented in season 5, but they are keeping it under wraps. Will there be flash sideways? Who knows.
Also, they freely admit that the reason season 4 was so good was because they were given an ending date after season 6, so lets hope the kick-ass sci-fi trend moves forward until the end of the series.
