What makes it great?
One of the most inspirational, plot twisting, shocking, memorable scenes in cinema history; Darth Vader revealing to Luke, Maury-style, that he’s the daddy. As Luke screams in horror, Vader propositions him with overthrowing the Emperor and ruling the galaxy together. This quote sums up the conflict in the relationship between Vader and Luke as Father and Son. It is chilling and poetic; foreboding and naïve; a superb ending to a superb scene. It’s also not a bad proposition, I would have gone for it.

“Oh Anny! You’re breaking my heart” was the very Star Wars line that not only solidified, in my mind, that ep 1 – 3 were pure trash, but made me want to go ahead and get up and leave ep 3. Though, my friend asked me about an hour into the movie “Hey, ya wanna leave? This sucks.”, it was tempting, but i stomached it through.
Wow, what a great list. In addition to picking out great lines, you also have great commentary for them. Might not have agreed with all of these choices before, but now I do.

“Do or not do, there is no try,” is by far the most profound quote of all the SW movies. Yoda the master tells it all with these few words.
The best Star Wars quotes, I think:
“Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.”
“Use the force.”
“Ive got a bad feeling about this.”
“I am your father”
“Yahoo!”
“This battle station will be quite operational when your friends arrive.”
“Your confidence is your weakness” Luke
“Your faith in your friends is yours” The Emperor.
Love this quote, it’s like tit for tat on a galatic scale!

I love this guy! it’s his only line in the film so he makes it count!!

that is the most romantic scene in a movie
“I love you.” “I know.” See now this line is so much more memorable to me in Return of the Jedi. When Leia returns the favor. I prefer that exchange to this one but this is amoung my favorites.
oBI wAN TO ANAKIN EPSIDODE 3:
“you WERE the chosen one, it was said you would destroy the sith, not join em.”
Very symbolic quote. an irony in itself. Indeed, in episode 6 anakin as darth vader did indeed destroy the sith (by throwing sidious down the pit), but IT WAS OBI WAN, WHO WAS MISTAKEN.
Qui Gon was right after all.
I still think there are some awesome quotes from Revenge of the Sith despite what others before me have said:

“Well then you are lost!” Obi-Wan to Anakin
“Ironic isn’t it? He could save others from death, but not himself” Palpatine to Anakin
“I am the Senate!” Palpatine to Windu
