10.10.08 # Sequel # 374 CommentsWhen this post was first published we were looking at the potential villains for Spider-Man 4. Then Sony pulled the plug on Tobey Maguire and turned it into a Spider-Man reboot. But the question remains the same – who are the villains in the next Spider-Man going to be?
Here’s a picture gallery of the options (that haven’t been used yet), with a short explanation of who they are.
The villain line-up includes Carnage, The Lizard, Black Cat, Electro, The Vulture, Mysterio, Man-Wolf, and many more. With the number of (non-silly) possibilities shrinking, don’t be surprised if the new movie includes a couple of the lesser known, but potentially more interesting, enemies.

Which villains would you like them to choose?
Dr. Connors was Parker’s tutor in the last three movies. In the comics he accidentally transforms into the Lizard when he tries to regrow his missing arm with a reptilian serum. The result is thick scaly skin, a deadly bite and the ability to communicate with other reptiles. The Lizard is defeated by prolonged cold.

Add the fantasic 4 in spiderman 4.
No they mucked this franchise up so badly. 3 should of had Sandman and Harry as the Green Goblin, not the “New Goblin” or as I refer to him as the Hovering Snowboarder ( Which I was so glad we all waited 3 films and what ? 6 years to see). Venom should have been IT for 4, but no. I mean Topher Grace would have made a great Carnage, play it like he did Brock but 4 times as crazy. Make us all sit back in our seats and say to ourselve “Sh!t Im actually afraid Eric Foreman would hunt me down, cut me into little pieces and laugh about it, but no. Instead were left with a rouges gallery albeit fun for comics sake is a lil’ slim pickin’ for more applicable movie purposes. Hate to say it, but Lizards waiting in the wings (even though Dr. Conner is about as intimidating as an empty box of serial. No more symbionts please, it ruined the last film (That and emo-spidey). Lets toss in some chump to take out in a fun opening action sequence like Shocker (in a plausible costume redesign), The get down to the action with…with um…you know really they just screwed this franchise beyond recognition.Doesnt matter who they pick McGuires to old, Dunst is not attractive nor interesting enough and every villian at this point would just be goofy. Why not have Micheal Clarke Duncan reprise his role as the Black Kingpin from the Daredevil film and just put the last nail in this coffin so we can fast forward six years and relaunch the sob Batman Begins style.
Or what about Ninjas?
We all know that the lizards gonna be in it at some point and spiderman 4 seems like his time. I believe that there is still alot of really cool villains left even though they’ve proberbly used the best ones allready. Aka Green goblin , Doc ock, Sandman, Venom. Visually I think these are the best villains. We know the lizard will be in 4, if not then spidy 5. But if hes in 4 I think we should bring in the Kraven. Uno have a kraven hunts down Lizard and hunts down spiderman aswell. At the same time spidy fights lizard but not wanting him dead cause it’s his frined. I can explain it better then that but I know u get it. But thats how I think 4 should be. Then I would like to see two of these villains in spidy 5. Vulture, scorpion, electro. They are all great villains, and scorpion has a great storyline. In spidy 6 if they make it Then I think we should have a really powerful villain and a few smaller ones. Like Carnage. I don’t see how it would work after venoms dead and two movies have alloready past but I want a powerful villain. And smaller ones could be like shocker, Ryno, and whoever else but no manwolf. It wouldn’t be that interesting.
I change my mind.

Save carnage for the Venom spinoff.

I would say that Dr. Connors is a likely choice for the next movie…he’s been a pervasive character in the past 3 films so I think he’ll get his change in this one as Lizardman. Next possibility would probably be Kingpin and Scorpion, although Carnage was a popular character too. Honestly, I don’t care who the villains are as long as the movies are better than Spider-Man 3
Wow, I for one thought the dance scene was funny as hell, and i thought 3 was by far the best. Although through all the movies they continue to mess thing up from how i know them. One thing i can promise that Venom is not dead, Harry to a blast to the face with that and only had scars on his face, i doubt the goblin bomb kill eddy broke and the symbiotic suit. I bet you will finaly get to see the lizard, hopefully go into the man spider stuff at the same time. I doubt Carnage will be in 4 but very strong possiblity venom and carnage will be the bad guys in 5. I doubt Black cat will even be mentioned, and doubt they will have the king pin, and if they do have him hope they have different actor. But as what i think we will see, 4 will go through the mutation stories and you will see the lizard and man spider, be kinda of cool if we get a fight between the two, if they have another villian i would think the hob goblin and in the ending there will be a cliff hanger about venom, going into 5 which will be about venom and the creation of Carnage, them teaming up against spidy, Carnage being way to strong, venom relizing what is going on and teaming up with spidy to kill carnage. BLAH, might be bad for a story line, but watch and see that i will be right, because i am psyco… er i mean psycic or something like that.
i don’t care as long as theres shocker, lizard (but turns good) and most ecspeicaly, carnage, cause well, it’s cool to follow up from vemon. reply if you agree.

Since I think the classical villains should be prioritized, and I want pure power, danger and madness without far out supermanesque fanciness, I vote for Scorpion, Rhino and Vulture. A villain I did not knew of, until I read this website, and sounds disturbing and cool which in my opinion would be a prefect joker, is Freak.

i love the lizard,carnage,scorpion,doc ock,black cat,mysterio, and kraven. but i really like that guy called freak i never heard of him very interesting character he would make a nice addition to the films.
My personal opinion is to have the lizzard, rhino, scorpion and kraven, it would be a goldmine for him because he has 3 targets to hunt and scorpion and rhino both had cool character designs in the spiderman 3 video game. I think that if Kraven and these characters were involved new york wouldnt be just a city but more like a concrete jungle with preditors, prey and a hunter determined to catch them all. Also it would be cool to see spiderman, rhino, and scorpion teaming up to take on the hunter as well as rescue doc connors who is trapped by kraven. Leave Carnage to the venom spin off because topher grace aint worth bringing back not to mention venom is a tank in the comics and topher is as skinny as a twig.
heres wat I think the villians are going to be {^_^}
spiderman 4= lizard,kraven,black cat,and venom coming back to fight spiderman but then teaming up with him to defeat carnage,and maybe show quinten beck but not as mysterio.
sm5= kingpin(as main villain)daredevil,blackcat,chameleon,
mysterio(second main villain),rhino,vulture and shocker
sm6= hobgoblin,hydroman,and maybe electro,and maybe the avengers so they could help spidey defeat them all.
