J. Jonah Jameson’s son John is an astronaut who finds a gem on the surface of the moon. It attaches itself symbiotically to his throat and causes him to transform whenever the moon is full. John appeared in Spiderman 2 as an astronaut and Mary Jane’s fiancée.

black cat and carnage. scorpions story is cool too.
i would say carnage, hobgoblin, black cat, and kingpin are cool story lines.
i could also see scorpion as well, but my favorite is carnage.
mix carnage with hobgoblin in the next movie and u have a winner.
then throw in black cat as a love interest
Black Cat would work. As would Mysterio, played by Bruce Campbell. I will not give up on this!
There was some interview where Raimi said something along the lines of “I can’t say who’s playing the villain, because then you’d know who the villain is”.
Basically, it’s someone already introduced in the movies, so most likely it’s the Lizard aka Curt Connors. There was also a leaked script treatment that tied his research and the venom symbiote into the creation of Carnage, so I’m thinking that those are 4 and 5 respectively.
Of course, since Raimi has lost his damn mind (jazz dance scene? Disco fever? Emo hair?) I’m sure he’ll probably pack 3 villains into Spidey 4 and then another 4 into Spidey 5 and with any luck he’ll definitively kill of the franchise like Schumacher did with Batman so that maybe one day a real director and writer can make another good Spidey movie.
I don’t disagree, but for the sake of argument what if they announced that Ben Kingsley was the lead in Spiderman 4, then we’d all know it was The Vulture. Also as they are making a Venom spin-off movie, wouldn’t they be saving Carnage for that? Some food for thought…
I think it’s probably going to be the Lizard, since he’s kind of assumed at this point to be in it. And it seems like the most logical choice. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hobgoblin was somewhere, though.
I think its gonna be The Lizard(He’s way over due and his plot is set already) and Carnage(He can get the venom from Dr. Conners office) I wouldnt be surprised if Black Cat made an appearance.
What about the french “Tornado” or the Mexican “Tarantula”?
It’s obvious it’s going to be “The Lizard” and I think Jonah son the “Wolfman”. I loved those strylines!
i would have lizard which is one everyone knows is the most likely and i think adding in carnage would be pretty cool he has always been one of my favorite villains- we can have that specimen that peter brought to dr. connors evolve (before breaking out of the jar that it was put into) or as a different reaction to different dna since it made peter just a mean person but made eddie who was already a terrible person into venom but when it comes to cletus kassady who is a serial killer it makes the symbiote so much stronger
as afr as casting goes i we know who would play lizard but for carnage i think (i dont think he would even accept) Joaquin Phoenix would play a great cletus kassady
and they are considering shooting spiderman 4 and 5 simultaneously so that tells you they want to release them close together (prob 1 year apart) so i think there could be a continuing storyline at the end of SM4 that would lead to SM5 like the carnage storyline only starting at the end of SM4 — similar to how at the end of sm2 they just start henry’s storyline as new goblin
chameleon was announced for spiderman 3 on marvel’s website for Topher Grace before pictures of venom hit the web. Prob just a distraction from venom, but a possibility for 4.
#4 = Since Harry is dead Oscorp and Osborn mansion / Goblin’s den will have to be phased out So how about The Hobgoblin & Tombstone.
Roderick Kingsley buys mansion finds the den uses un-altered gas and uses goblin’s suit goes on rant ends up killing Gwen. Alters gas, experiments and creates Tombstone, reusees new gas creats new suit and becomes Hobgoblin.
#5 = Gwens dead oh no, Jackel. Harry conflict gone \ Jamison new conflict. Creats Scorpion.
Thinking back to when I was a kid and read EVERY SINGLE issue of Spiderman…there are just too many good villains out there that spidey has fought. I loved the Scorpion!
