It looks pretty good, actually. Angelina Jolie is almost unrecognisable, and John Malkovich does his creepy staring thing very well. The story is based in compelling human drama, so Eastwood is on familiar ground and could deliver an amazing film. Will it be up for Oscars? Chances are, most likely.

To be honest I have no emotional attachment to other people’s kids so find the high drama of this uninvolving. And Clint Eastwood is visually a dull director. So, the only potentially interesting element is the mystery itself – I hope it’s a good one.
Jeff Donovan, the current star of Burn Notice on USA plays the LAPD detective in this. Awesome actor and with John Malkovich taking a stab at a good guy (maybe) for the first time in awhile, this looks promising.
