Eagle Eye Critics Reviews – “It’s Just Too Ridiculous”

eagle eye critics reviews

The Eagle Eye critics’ reviews have landed.

Shia LaBeouf and director D.J. Caruso did Hitchcock’s Rear Window last year with Disturbia, now it’s North By Northwest’s turn.

Rosario Dawson famously turned down the lead in Zack And Miri Make A Porno to be in this. Wise decision?

If you see Eagle Eye and wonder who the anonymous voice on the phone is, Rosario has revealed it’s Julianne Moore.

Here’s what the critics are saying:

Roger Ebert

“The word ‘preposterous’ is too moderate to describe Eagle Eye. This film contains not a single plausible moment after the opening sequence, and that’s borderline…Lots of stuff being blowed up real good…the audience is chuckling at the impossibilities.”

LA Times

“From tepid start to laughable middle to thudding finish (and the final two minutes smack of a reshoot), Eagle Eye is nothing but a herky-jerky clusterf*ck of noise and nonsense that scoffs at logic”

Austin Chronicle -

“…good, manic fun plus a heavy dose of political intrigue adding up to two hours of clamorous, mind-numbing nonsense.”

Eagle Eye currently holds a 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is the same as Sandra Bullock’s The Net.

Enemy Of The State got 71%.

If people went to the movies to see something that is really possible, they’d just read the news. These reviews are stupid.

i’m loving that the LA Times used the word clusterf**k.

As for the movie, the first trailer blew me away, but as more info has leaked out about the film i’m getting less and less interested. I’ll most likely end up seeing it though.

Critics have to make themselves look credible and cant show themselves enjoying a “entertaining” film. this is why i would never date or look at a critic. Critics are bad at life.

Critics have to look credible so they can show themselves enjoying a “entertaining” film. Even though its not relistic it was fun and stirs up imagenery thoughts in ones mind. that is the true benefit of a film. If a critic cant enjoy a “entertaining” film, then they have a pole up their butt. This is why I would never date or even look at a critic. Thats right your a joke.

If your reading this and your thinking, the truth is film is an art. You can rate art. Art is an expression, a peice of work. If your judging a film your ignorant and retarded.

My brother swears by critics and hasn’t even seen the movie but claims it’s bad cause they say so…it was intertaining, had action, made me laugh, cry, and hold my brethe. If people are so co cerned about it being far feched, why did Wanted do well?not to mention the matrix….transformers…seriously? The movie was great!

Usually, I look for movies that critics put down and they end up being entertaining. If I wanted reality, I’d watch CNN for two hours or watch one of those stupid reality shows. I want to be entertained regardless of whether it’s plausible or not. By the way, many things that were not plausible in movies 50 years ago, are being used or developed in the real world now, do the research. Regardless, any movie with car chases, crashes, explosions, bombs going off, and generally, some degree of destruction and not all talk and cry-cry, mushi gushi, touchie-feelie stuff is worth your time. Don’t tell me you’d rather see a Woody Allen, Hugh Grant or Renee Zelwegger personal growth story. I liked this movie. I’m watching it on HBO and think it’s great!
