New behind the scenes pics from the Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan movie Kung Fu Kid have surfaced online. Check ‘em out!

The internet wants you to believe this movie can do nothing but suck. Allow Movie-Moron to play devil’s advocate (no, that does not mean read this in a Keanu voice). Firstly: yes, it’s yet another remake, and of a cult classic childhood – if you were born in the seventies – favorite. But some remakes are good in their own right, if they stray far enough from the source material to become their own beast – A Fistful of Dollars for example. Okay, so maybe, MAYBE the director of Pink Panther and Agents Coady Banks isn’t comparable to Sergio Leone…But is The Karate Kid comparable to Yojimbo?
Secondly: Jackie Chan needs to be in a good movie, and if you don’t want to see Jackie Chan in a good movie then you are pure evil because he’s adorable in an avuncular kind of way and you should want nice things to happen to him.
Yeah, that second point needs a little work…and the first point sort of cancels itself out. And I’m all out of points. Anyways, you can see a few more photos here.
Kung Fu Kid opens in the U.S. on June 11th 2010.

It’s great to see a young unknown actor work so hard for a part and-
Oh wait, it’s Will Smith’s son.
That picture where Chan has him bound to bamboo poles gives me the creeps. Is this an Oldboy prequel?
The film will be a huge hit, not only do we have a real karate master; Jackie Chan, we have a great young actor; Jaden Smith who plays the young boy ‘DRE’ who moves from America to China with his mother played by Taraji P. Henson , plus Jackie Chan plays the very funny character ‘Wong Tong’ from the young adult novel ‘Fledgling Jason Steed’
‘Dre’ is bullied and seeks help from Jackie Chan, the film may have the same theme, but its better made and acted. The director of ‘Agent Cody Banks’ ‘Harald Zwart’
steps in as director. Watch out for a box office hit and the best ‘G’ rated movie for the fall of 2010. The book ‘Fledgling Jason Steed’ is released at the same time by Sourcebooks Inc.
Expect to see a little romance between Mom (Taraji P. Henson) and Jackie Chan.
A Fistful of Dollars is easily the worst and most forgettable of all the Sergio Leone movies I can think of.
‘karen Jane Beckner’ – you read like a lazy press release.
You think this one will be better acted? So, this time our Mr. Myagi will actually WIN the Best Actor Oscar he was meerly nominated for last time?
Jackie Chan has a long way to go. And a moustache ain’t cutting it.
Just got finished watching part 3.Good movie.Weak ending.I’m not sure about this one you guys. Not trying to knock any of these actors;they are good but judging by the preview in kind of looks like a flop.
