Will there be a sequel to Max Payne? Well a certain hidden scene at the end of the credits is suggesting that’s very much what they have in mind. Make sure you stay til the very end to get an idea what he’d be up against in Max Payne 2.
The film opened well Friday ($7.1m in one day) and with a low production budget of only $35m, it should make its money back with ease. It got mauled by the critics (18% on Rotten Tomatoes), but fans are rating it 7.1 on imdb which is not too bad at all.
It’ll realistically come down to what Mark Wahlberg wants to do. The game itself had one sequel, 2003′s Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

Movie was awesome. Games were awesome too. I would really like a sequel, but probably never happen…
I thought the movie wasn’t all that, but since I’m a really big fan of the Max Payne games I brought the movie. If they make a second one please make it more darker and action packed, not to mention a little bit longer I was kind of disappointed the way it ended. That being said I can’t wait for Max Payne 3.

Well of course, you should make a second one!, after all there are 3 games, and I liked this movie, Mark Wahlberg did a very good job. My only request is do it like the games, don’t change it, because we all loved the games so why ruin it.
Damn sure i want a 2nd Max Payne Movie.
Im a Huuuge fan of Max Payne and loved the movie, although i would like them to make a movie out of the first game even though most already know it, but the people who DONT play those games wont know with DETAIL what happened to Max in the past. And with DETAIL i meant the tense story or his past and how he worked his way to the top to take revenge. But yes i want a sequel and maybe they should let it be written by the writer of the games. The fall of max payne would be cool to (second game)
older people who like movies but dont play the games miss out on a good story. BUT i would like MORE Bullettime/Slowmo action in the next movie then.
ummm yeah make max payne 2 dont use mark WB as max payne coz in the game max payne 2 max dident look much like he did in the first one maybe use matt damon or someone who looks like max payne in the 2nd ther needs to be slow mo like the game and I really want to see a max payne 3 made! coz that game was badass

OK, so i have played max payne 1 and 2, and i’ve watched the max payne movie. and i just don’t get it. If the character model for max payne 1 was Sam Lake and character model for max payne 2 is Timothy Gibbs i just dont get why then Mark Wahlberg had to be in movie. I mean, I love him, he’s a great actor but you know.. seeing the Max Payne in comic story line in games and comparing him to Mark Wahlberg is just wrong. Why weren’t they ( Sam or Timothy) in the movie
And the story is way off. But then again – i haven’t played Hitman but have watched the movie and I loved it. I guess that in future i’ll have to choose between movie and a game. If they’re not like 80 % alike I just cant like them both 
Yes, I would. Max Payne is one of my favorite video game charters. I dont love him in the movies but he is still Max Payne.
I totally agree, that first movie wasn’t a bad movie. So i vote for Max Payne sequel. This game deserves a second movie.
make the movie but the 1st movie the tower shouldve crash the copter wtf to that, and stick to the game all yeah use the same characters, they did great in the movie
