Zombieland Clips
We start off the weekly clips roundup (yes we do it every week) with a look at the Woody Harrelson starring zom-com Zombieland.

Due out this Friday, it’s been predictably dubbed ‘The American Shaun of the Dead‘ and promises to treat us to all the brain munching chuckles that the aforementioned Brit-flick served up a few years back.

The film follows a mismatched group of survivors after a zombie plague has left America in ruins. The odd bunch take refuge at an abandoned theme park, cue a variety of hilarious set pieces.

The film also stars Emma Stone (Superbad) and Jesse Eisenberg, who could be the first actor of all time to be in two theme park based comedies in one year following on from Adventureland.

Here are the clips -

First up, Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) gets in the truck with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) only to find out they have been taken hostage by a 12 year old:

Here Columbus gives us a few zombie survival tips:

Tallahassee and Columbus risk death or zombification to grab some twinkies:

Tallahassee uses an unconventional weapon to slay him some zombie:

And finally, a zombie clown. Nuff said!

Am I the only one who thinks Zombieland doesn’t look that funny?

I think this is one of those movies (like Hot Fuzz) that if you don’t find it funny you will be skinned alive by the online community. Personally I think it looks strong. Harrelson and Eisenberg make for a good duo.

Funny as crap! Harrelson and Eisenberg were as great a pairing as Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in The Odd Couple. Dark? Yes. Gory? Hells yes! Bad language? Yes. Even PG-13s are allowed a couple F-Bombs these days. But it was an entertaining flick with something for everyone. Suprise Zombie guest appearance (won’t spoil it) was a special treat for boomers like me. Also glad to see Abigail Breslin break out of her cutsie “Little Miss Sunshine” stage.
