Now that’s a pretty pretty poster, no? Great composition, typography, tagline, and an interesting image with the leaves/birds. Very nice. It could be my imagination, but I think that the sky in this poster looks like the sky in King Kong. Yes, I know it’s the sky and it’s going to look like the sky, but it sort of does look like the sky from King Kong.
See? It’s nice to see Peter Jackson reuniting with Kongsky, it has an elegiac quality and they worked well together in the previously. I’m now upset that there isn’t a giant ape on the poster for The Lovely Bones though.

It’s also known as cgi over-filtered sky, as seen in the Star Wars prequels.
I think it looks like an advert for twitter.
I also enjoyed that sky in VANILLA SKY and WHAT DREAMS MAY COME.
Can we get a ‘Top Ten Uses of the King Kong Sky’ please?

I cannot wait to see the movie. Read the book and it is one of my absolute favorites. If the movie is as good as the book you won’t be disappointed.
