Harry Potter’ Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – Trailer
2.05.11 # 19:54 # Trailers # 16 Comments
This summer sees the release of possibly the biggest film of all time. It’s so big, so important and so eagerly awaited that it had to split into two parts to accomodate the sheer awesomeness of the spectacle. No, I’m not talking about Breaking Dawn (although I could be, couldn’t I?)

PG Rating For Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince?!

Quantum of Solace Pushed Back A Week
22.08.08 # 10:37 # News # No CommentActually, it seems like Australia will never get its chance to shine: Bond 22 has been pushed back a week, to be released on November 14th.
The reason being that, because Harry Potter VI: The Slaughter Fields has been delayed by 8 months, a gap has opened up in November’s schedule. This means that Bond can get into cinemas closer to Thanksgiving and rule the holiday.
The Paul Rudd/ Sean William Scott comedy vehicle Role Models has been bumped up a week to Nov 7th to avoid the Bond Express, while Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is now Bond’s biggest rival for the period. The move puts Bond closer to Twilight, which sees daylight on November 21st, so anybody wanting to see the gentleman spy will have to put up with loads of screaming girls in the queue.
These dates do not affect the UK, where Quantum of Whosit will still be released on Oct 31st. Good show.

Emma Watson Fills Scarlett Johansson
18.04.08 # 11:33 # News # No CommentIn her first film role outside of Harry Potter, Emma Watson is to replace the void left by Scarlett Johansson in Napoleon and Betsy.
The film centres around young noblewoman Betsy Balcombe who is trapped on the island of St. Helena, only to meet and fall in love with Napoleon.
The reason for Johansson’s departure is because the part required somebody younger, so put away your rumour mills now, although she remains in a producer’s role.
This could be the beginning of something great for young – recently 18 – Watson. The only work she’s had outside of the Boy Wizard and the Cash Cow franchise is a role in BBC TV drama and a voice part as Princess Pea in The Tale of Despereaux.
We look forward to seeing her grow as an actress.

Final Potter Split Into Two Movies?
14.01.08 # 23:37 # News # 2 Comments
A British paper is reporting with absolute certainty that Deathly Hallows will be split in half. It claims this comes from the crew themselves, now working on Half Blood Prince.
While an extra cinematic outing would net filmmakers around another £500m in ticket sales, they insist the decision is motivated by artistry, not the almighty dollar – The Potter books grew in size significantly. Philosopher’s Stone was 223 pages, Deathly Hallows 776.
The Daily Mail also points to a Rowling quote on her website, “It is simply impossible to incorporate every storyline into a film under four hours long.”
