Title: New Ghostbusters game trailer
Post by: AristotleP on March 18, 2009, 11:08:26 PM

All was presumed lost during the Activision Blizzard mash-up earlier in the year, which saw Sierra’s Ghostbusters hung out to dry. Thankfully Atari’s newly appointed president Phil Harrison saw it fit to snap it up for himself.

Ghostbusters is due for release in June 2009 on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PC & DS, and seriously, how could this be anything less than amazing?

I have fond memories of the first Ghostbusters game, a top down view of you driving around the city bustin' shit, spent many hours on it. I hope this new one plays well. I'm not sure if they've done a good job with the humor and the banter, sounds a bit 'off' to me.

This looks pretty impressive so far, the graphics look awesome on some of the screenshots.

Here's a gameplay video

I really really really hope it's 4 player co-op over Live. Bet they didn't bother though.

Ghostbusters Collecters Edition details released

Quote from:
We know, we know -- there are those of us who are into Ghostbusters and then there are those of us who are really into Ghostbusters. For the majority of us, dropping a paltry $60 on the Atari-publlished ghost-bustin' game is more than enough. But don't worry, folks, if you were looking to spent $130 bucks for the title, Amazon's got you covered!

In the vein of the "Amazon Exclusive" Fallout 3's Survival Edition comes the ... "Amazon Exclusive" Ghostbusters: The Video Game "Slimer Edition." Fancy box? Check. Ecto-1 keychain? Check check. Slimer ... thing? You bet! We've compiled a gallery for your approval below. It seems like just yesterday we were thinking twice about that legendary cat helmet!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen merchandise for this franchise.

One of my earliest memories is dancing to the Ghostbusters theme at a holiday camp.

Thanks for that images Sheridan, were you in your leg warmers and stay-press jeans?  ;)

I'm so excited for this game, it looks like they have got all the key elements in there, just hope the gameplay is up to scratch and yeah the co-op (not that i have it) would be a brilliant idea

Probably stone-washed jeans I would imagine. And a global hypercolour t-shirt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypercolor).
